Consider spending that little bit extra and getting a magnetic steel spring PEI bed instead

    • Couldn't agree more for PLA

any comparison to the glass ultrabase? i've had good luck using that recently but keen to know what new things are out there

      • +2

I haven't used the ultrabase to make a comment but from magnetic to carbon glass the pei is definitely a improvement also also fairly smooth. I use the twotrees branded one from aliexpress got them for about 25ish

      • What's "glass ultrabase"?

        • link

I've found it works really well, the material sticks tight to it while the bed is hot and releases when it's cool. Don't need to use glue, hairspray or tape etc.

I found that with other flexible bases, yea it's easy to remove prints but then I have to level the bed each time I take it off because it changes a little. This way the glass bed is always level and stays that way for ages. I haven't had to level it in months.

          • @Windows98: It sounds like the carbon silica one that comes with the Aquila. It's a good base much better than glass or magnetic but the pei twotrees is still superior. Stick so well even over night cool down you need to flex the plate. Level wise don't need to do it every print especially if running a autolevel. I level my printer only during maintenance every couple months. Silicone coloums have made that possible

      link?

  • PLEASE DONT!

This is the most sh1t sheet ever. Do yourself a favour: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PFHBR2D?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_…

On my Ender3 V2 I printed PLA+, TPU and PETG on that sheet like a charm.

    • Is this one double sided?
Eg. Has a smooth and textured usable sides

      • That one is a single side. But still, I wished I had it since the beginning.
Be able to print PLA, TPU, PETG by cleaning the bed with IPA before each printing is everything.

You should be able to find double-sided if you like.
Just don't buy this Creality, I did and I hate myself lol
