Updated. Thanks
The other deal from doctor proctor was one of the worst jerky I had in my life. I hope this one is better.
This is terrible jerky and appeals to those who don't know what a good jerky (or biltong) tastes like.
Good price though 😀
I know taste is mostly subjective, but I don’t find it terrible by any mean. It is however a little too salty to my liking though. At half price, it’s pretty decent if not good.
I’m open for any suggestion for similar priced and quality (not “taste) jerky though, truely.

Aldi recently dropped their price to $1.99
@jv: I’ve tried Aldi’s but it seems like it’s more “fatty” from the mouth feel comparing to this. Nothing scientific, just personal experience and perception…
Sounds like me. I'm getting me some of that!
Actually…I don't like the original. Gimme Teriyaki.
how do u rate the BBQ?
https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/296241/jac…@capslock janitor: Yeah…I like that too.
Original is a bit too dry and chewy for my liking. Though I understand that's more of a traditional jerky, and heaps of people like that. Good trail food I guess!
Bummed that I missed this deal actually…but trying to limit my visits to Woolies…my local keeps popping up as an exposure site. :-O
couldn't agree more
Really, was the the consensus? I've liked mine
Same, was super happy to find it was proper beef jerky
*biltong
I agree, and my review said it
Yeah? I quite enjoyed it, especially the curry flavoured one
Biltong ain't jerky. Of course since you don't know the difference I won't blame your ignorance.
You will need probiotic yogurt to go with this
Reasonable price for jerky that is basically inedible.
whats your choice of edible jerky?
This is ozbargains where you snob everything because everything you like is the worst!
Like everyone else has said, this one doesn't really taste the best. Better to make your own.
Nothing beats some home-made prime wagyu jerky!
Waste of money
Jerky needs lean cuts
Wagyu = you're paying for marbling = fat
Go to your local south african shop for the best jerky, biltong and borvoust
Wtf is borvoust? It's boerewors.
I prefer this one from Costco. Much cheaper per kg too.
i dont have membership :/
Well for me the membership is worth it just for the fuel discount. Any food/electrical/clothing/homewares discounts is a bonus :)
fuel am not too bothered coz i have 7E fuel lock
but those bonus do seem nice…
the locations are just kinda sparse, and way out of even our lockdown radius
unless you live only a couple suburbs away ?@capslock janitor: Fuel lock is kind of useless right now as I am in Melbourne lockdown with 5km rule. If I start locking prices from far away it will look very sus and I imagine my account would get banned?
@billy_bob: it's the main fuel i use now over year and no ban
but i saw this recently, too vague tho on the reason.we really need these from Costco :/

seen any?
30% carbohydrates for those that care about that kind of thing.
That’s more than a lot of ice creams, obviously serving size is vastly different, especially for the ozbargainer that eats a 1L tub as a serve…Yeah, 20% sugar in this
The nutritional info listed on Woolworths is different to the table on the pack. The pack shows it as 23.7% sugar and 30% carb
Give beef chiefs a chew and you'll be hooked 👌
Appearance and texture of plastic. Still a hard pass at half price.
Local SA butcher makes and sells jerky and biltong for the same price ($50/kg), and quality is incomparable.
Price in title, please.
