    The "Nest Mini" is the second gen.

    It should be the same. Gen 1 called Google mini and Gen 2 called nest mini. Correct me if I am wrong.

      Yes you are wrong. Improvements were made with Gen 2 including superior audio. I'd argue that the Gen 2 sounds better than the Nest Hub as well. Power adapter is also different

        I probably wouldn't go so far as to say it has "superior audio" but it's definitely a decent improvement on the Gen 1. Best to buy two of them and set them up as a stereo pair for even better sound quality though.

          @KangaDrew: Agreed, I've got Gen1 and Gen2 of both the Google Display/Hub and Google (Nest) Mini.

          Each of the respective Gen2's have a fuller and louder sound (not sure of the exact audiophile-approved wording) than their Gen1/predecessor.

          Nest Mini = Gen2
