Hmmm… only corriander flavour offered at a discount through Amazon…

    • Hmm… you're not meant to eat it.

      • Why not?

        • +4

          Bc it tastes like corriander.

    • +15

Funny, some people associate the taste of coriander with soap.

        Ooo my moment to shine.

Is it still a Thankyou if it's bought on sale? I've been wondering how it works if any eco stuff is bought for < cost. Tho maybe the markup is huge and it never happens

    • +2

Just adding to the overpaid staff members of the 'not for profit' charity.

    • +2

The promo sales are funded by the supplier. Normally also tied to marketing (ie Print/Digital/TV). Retailer maintains margin.

Thankyou will give rebates to the retailer. Cash burn is on Thankyou’s balance sheet.

From memory Thankyou was a fairly marginal business on the earnings front.

  • Thank you OP

What’s the least hassle way of price match through Chemist?

    • I've tried once, they check to see what their cost price is and when it's lower then their cost price, they just matched the price not beat by 10% as it states on their website.

  • Just price matched at chemist warehouse, easy peasy in person.

    • Interesting to know that my local CWH doesn't do price match with Amazon. They even prepare to refund my order and let me order from Amazon rather than price matching.

      • +1

I told them Coles rather than Amazon..

        • Hmm, it seems I was unlucky as they also making excuses not to beat the price. Seems hopeless with them

          • @yht: If they won't price beat Coles, really makes you wonder how worthless their price beat policy is

            • @lawyerz: Yeah, I guess it depends on which store.

              • @yht: They will, hold your ground. Their policy clearly states any retail store but it feels like more than a handful of store managers tell their staff its pharmacy stores only.

It's worth holding them to account for it. CW and bunnings are the worst when it comes to broadly advertising a price beat policy for the good PR and then trying to find any excuse at store level to not honour it.

  • Anyone used the lime and corriander fragrance before? Is the smell pleasant?

    • Have you ever smell what the rock is cooking?
      Coriander and lime.

    • +1

      yes

    • Only if you add coconut milk

Price matching at Chemist Warehouse has always been a pain in the arse…have tried a few stores, and always ended up spending a lot of time arguing.

    • Don't forget to submit complaint via website/email. If they're legit then HQ should do something.

  • These are so thick that I need to dilute to 50% to use in automatic pumps. Seems to be good value but the dilution is driving me crazy. Almost wanted to buy a vortex mixer for it.

  • +3

Arguing with the bitter lady at CW is not worth $0.40 saving.

Make complaint via site/email to save more time next time

Bosisto's 1L refills are also $6 at Coles, half price. Australian made, no nasties etc. https://shop.coles.com.au/a/the-gap/specials/search/bosistos…

    • This is the real deal! Should be a separate deal or add to the OP

    • thanks, but not as viscous as thankyou

    • i ordered the bosisto banksia/lav; and thankyou goats milk/lemon myrtle

Are they still doing the thing where the bottles aren't actually donating anywhere? (the barcode says N/A or something like that).
Last time I checked during early pandemic this was the case and made me think they're not actually doing any charity anymore.

I used to buy some of their hand sanitisers with all those lovely ingredients like Lemon and Pomegranate, and for their impact on global sustainability, then realised 2 things:

1.) All the ingredients were chemicals and had no association with natural ingredients.

2 ) These were made in China which is as unsustainable as it could get.

    • Wait are you saying these hand wash are made in China? Or just the hand sanitizers?

      • +1

Maybe, I'll check when I'm Coles next.

I know the hand sanitiser is definitely made in China.

This is anther gimmicky companies jumping on the "We're about environment!" Yet outsourcing to China to cut costs and increase profits.

    • +1

      -1

what chemicals as opposed to natural ingredients?

as per their website, sanitiser and hand/body wash in store, as well my home, are all made in australia
      https://thankyou.co/categories/thankyou-nurture

  • +3

Can anyone confirm if this is still Aussie made or has now moved to China? If the later, No Thank You

  • Thanks. bought them
