  • Hmm, I literally just ordered the cheaper Respaguard ones from here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/637303

    • Not impressed with those. ear loops are quite thick and short and tend to slide off.

  • Any smaller packs available?

    • Yes, 10 pack.

    AMD really branching out here

  • Is roughly $2 per P2/N95 mask considered a "bargain"?

    • +7

      given it's Australian made, yes
      Labour cost's too high onshore

      • Also they really are easier to breathe in and maintain a seal more reliably than other N95 masks I've used.

  • Points 2 through 4 are moot, assuming you follow basic guidelines/hygiene practices.. It's recommended to dispose of masks after 4 hours, or when removed.

Plenty of people using them for weeks on end though, so yolo I guess..

    • +1

I kinda agree although tbf they recommend washing reusable masks after each use (or at least used to)

Many people use both these types for a quick trip to the shops. Not sure how many are going to wash or dispose of their mask when it's only been on 20 mins.

    • Expiry on the sale price, or expiry on the product??? Are you expect the material to break down that quickly?

I'm curious of the credentials of the people who own this business. From my research on their social media it seems like a small business/partnership with no medical background. However, happy to be proven otherwise

    • Aussie Pharma Direct are an online reseller, they're not the manufacturer.

AMD is the manufacturer of the mask, they're based in Sydney and have been sponsoring the Aussie Olympic team who are all wearing this mask.

      • Thanks. Initially I thought Australian P2 mask (the posters of the last deal) were the manufacturers and they are owned by 2 people. However they are just resellers. Haven't looked into the owners of AMDMED

Pretty done with these guys, I was buying the same masks way back from last year at $149 and every time there was a new reseller, they’d drop the price. Spent a year profiting off the pandemic and now they’re jacking another seller’s Ozbargain code.

I came here from australianp2mask’s post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/650466 at least they engage with the community here and I’d rather spend my money with them.

  • I’m still waiting for them to ship the product 9 days after purchase! Does anyone here have any experience with this lot? Hopefully they’re a legit business.
