Looks like chicken is back on the menu boys!

Warning, these appear to be only 90% chicken…

    • If you want 100% chicken, I suggest you build your own chook farm.

  • How does this compare to Costco BBQ Chickens for $6.99?

    • +1

Costco chickens come from Steggles, at least those in Marsden Park and Auburn do - clearly marked on the label.

    • These are FROZEN chooks🐔
      Price depends on weight.

    • Costco BBQ Chickens for $6.99?

I hope you aren't referring to their cooked chickens?

They are the worst tasting BBQ chickens we've ever had.

Even the dog refused to eat them…

    It's not too bad of a deal. As it's $5 off per chook. It's best to find the lowest weight chicken to get a bigger discount per kg. eg;

    1.9kg chicken = $2.87/kg after discount

    Where as

    3.1kg chicken = $3.89/kg after discount

That's hard core and smart! But I went for the biggest size - speculating that the meat to carcass/water ratio is higher and improves my edible yield per dollar invested.

you also need to factor in surface area if you like skin ;)

    • lowest weight chicken

Now I know who took all the lowest weighing chooks at my local WW. ;-)
I only found 3 chickens around the 2.9kg weight.

  • Does it take off the price automatically at in store self check out?

    • +1

Yes, I purchased today via self check out. Also, there’s a $5 promo label on the chook.
