Gday Everyone

Love beef jerky? Can't decide which flavour you want? Never tried beef jerky before? Buying a gift for a friend?

I reckon it's best to try a bit of everything first and see what you like. The Chiefs Pack is the best way to do that. We've got 8 flavors that range from mild to wild.

We slow dry our jerky until it's tough and chewy and marinade for 2 days until the flavor is deep inside the meat fibres - so you get a jerky that tastes better with every chew.

Simply select the size you'd like, and we'll send you all 8 flavours in that size.

For example, if you select the 50g variant, you'll be sent one of each 8 flavours and each pack will be 50g. That's 400g beef jerky in total you will receive.

This is an awesome introduction into the Beef Chief range of flavors. We have a lot to choose from so why not try each flavor and see how the Beef Chief does it.

Then come back and grab as much as you like of your favorite. That's what everyone else does!

We dispatch your order the next business day and will do our best to look after all your needs and concerns.

We mainly ship from our online store based in NSW, but we have stockists around Vic and S.A that you can find on our store locator online too.

Cheers!

  • Thanks JV.

Our prices for this pack vary as there are 4 variants. Our store is online and our brand name is the first thing in the heading. I thought this did comply with the posting rules.

  • Pickup from Carrum Downs, ?? :D

  • $42.48 (240grams) + Shipping = $177 + Shipping…

    • Not sure what has gone wrong there mate. Our shipping on that sized pack is between $7.50-$10 depending on regular or express

It's not 20% off, as expected from the code it's actually 15% off.

    A bit misleading.

    • -1

      A bit misleading.

      very sneaky of them…

      • +1

Hi JV - Not sneaky, just a typo. Error on my behalf. Title has been updated

        • -6

          just a typo.

that's what they all say when caught out…

          • +3

@jv: The code itself is "OZBARGAIN15", so the intent was to post a 15% off code. Not sneaky, not caught out. Operator error. I apologise for my mistake

    • +1

Thanks Mango for picking that up, that was a mistake on my half. The title has been updated

      • Understandable, we all have those days!

        • Thanks for your understanding mate! Much appreciated

  • Probably the driest, hardest jerky I've ever tried. Wouldn't recommend

    • +1

It is meant to be, so that it is savoured and not eaten fast (we're all guilty of quickly eating an entire packet of jerky).

      • +1

Interesting, yes I am 100% guilty of that, I thought that was the point of the small serving sizes though to eat the whole thing lol. That's why I got the creeping reaper one, definitely cannot finish that in 1 go, but was just too damn hard for me!

  • Anyone recommend some great Jerky to buy?

    • +1

I bought some from this deal a month ago.

A fair few negs, mostly down to shipping delays from what I can gather, but the jerky itself I found was pretty nice.

70% off was an absolute steal, but I still might try out these guys.

    • Aldi.

      • +2

I thought Aldi was a shop not jerky

        • The shop is selling jerky :p

      • Tired this and it’s horrible. Feels oily

        • Try their Biltong (the Original).

    • I got the 4Hunters pack for like $30 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/644494

Pretty good value, fairly enjoyable jerky. Size is a bit hit & miss, with some huge pieces offset by tiny crumbs.

      • Ahh I thought you meant the ones they sell for like $3-4

        • Who is 'they' and what/size are they selling? $3-4/100g is very cheap for jerky.

For example and based on current deals -
ALDI Hydale Beef Jerky 50g is $1.99 ($39.80/kg)
          WW Jack Link's Beef Jerky 50g is $2.50 ($50/kg)
          4H is $9/100g. ($50/kg)
OBC is $5.25/30g or $15.75/100g. The sellers state "1kg of our Smokey BBQ beef jerky cost $114.99".

          • @TogTogTogTog: They as in Aldi. I have bought the small packets from them before, can’t remember the brand name but it was horrible

  • +1

Having tried their entire range Beef Chief's "Gunpowder" jerky is pretty much my all-time favourite jerky. It's exactly what I want when I think of jerky. YES, it is drier than most jerky on the Australian market - but it's intentionally so, and it's actually closer to the jerky I got growing up in California. Just chew it for longer, give your mouth a bit of a workout - the flavours will take time to develop and you'll end up with a beefy, peppery, smoky delight.

    • Thanks Beeawwb! We are stoked to know that our Loaded Gunpowder has had such an effect on you mate, and we are thankful you've shared your experience here. Let us know before your next order mate and we'll look after you

  • Hi OP, what's the best before date on these?

    • +1

Hi Mango, we have 12 months shelf life on our beef jerky. We regularly turn over stock so your pack will be quite fresh when you get it.

  • +1

Sorry 5 bucks still expensive especially for 240 gram… try put it 3 bucks then i might order them.

    • Sorry 5 bucks still expensive especially for 240 gram…

      It's $177 / kg

    • yes beef jerky is expensive in small portions. Our 30g packs are $6.87 at full price. The per kg price gets cheaper when you buy a larger quantity. For example: 1kg of our Smokey BBQ beef jerky cost $114.99. There is no shipping charged on 1kg orders.

One can never wrong with Aldi's Hydale 100 gram Biltong for $6.99 (the Original variety). That's $69.90 for a kilo. It has almost zero sugar in it, about 2 grams per 100 grams.

Have tried the entire range of jerky from the Beef Chief. Would say its the best jerky I have had, it is definitely a lot harder and drier than most I've had but doesn't seem like the candy stuff that you get from Woolworths etc. Similar to the poster above Loaded Gunpowder has quickly become a favourite. Would recommend.

    • Thank you Ryan, that is very kind of you to let people know your thoughts and we are very happy that you enjoy our product so much. Let us know via fb or email the next time you want to make an order mate, and I'll throw in some of our new stickers we've just had printed. Cheers

  • I literally just brought on Saturday $110 worth of products thus timing hurts 😅

    • +1

Ouch! Ah mate, let us know before your next order and we can throw in an extra for you

      • Appreciate it mate 👌 keen to try it eitherway

        • Awesome well I hope you love it

  • I've had this variety pack in the past, and all flavours were very nice apart from the creeping reaper which caught me by surprise.

    • Thanks Magic we appreciate you sharing that positive experience with everyone. Well, maybe the Creeping Reaper wasnt so positive! Good on you mate

  • What's Bourbon BBQ being swapped out for? And any way to stack the 'Spin2Win' prize? Seems a bit pointless if everyone 'wins' 10% off anyway…

    • +1

Hi Tog. We can't stack discount codes on our platform, so you'll need to pick the best one you have. Our spin wheel gives more than 10% off, there are free packs (30g and 50g), $$$ off your order and the big 1kg major prize. Bourbon is currently being swapped for a random mild flavour. If you'd like something specific we can accomodate.

      • Cool thks. Sucks the 10% doesn't work with the Footy Pack etc.

        Also your Spinner - https://client.spinasale.com/modals/frameV4/original-beef-ch…
Has "window.preventExistingEmail = false;" probs should be true so I can't spam it with emails…

        • Thanks for letting us know about the tech side mate. I'll see what I can do here, but it is an app that plugs into our website, so unsure. It is setup to prevent spamming emails getting multiple different codes though.

The Footy Pack is already at a hefty discount so we chose not to apply further discounts, the total savings on that pack, compared to buying individually, is $26

Thanks for your interest and hopefully we can get some of our jerky out to you
