wtf??
wish some1 posted this as a deal….
I saw it posted a few hours ago - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/64930
I followed the link, but could not find any way to contact COTD in order to ask some questions (Australian model, warranty back by Apple Australia, etc.).
whats the catch?
"Stock is EXTREMELY limited so you’ll have to be fast to secure this amazing iPhone 4S. Deals like this don’t often come up on Catch - so get bitin’ now!"
you're right, they don't come up this often on COTD, AT THIS PRICE($899!) ANYWAY!! lol maybe Catch of the Day should be renamed to Jip of the Year!

This model sells for $999 at Apple Stores. So, it is a saving of $100. Why do you say it is a "Jip"?
because it's COTD???
because it's COTD???
That does not mean it is a "Jip". Just that it might take ages to be delivered, and may turn out to be a HK model with a non-compliant plug/adapter, and an Apple warranty that is only valid in Hong Kong.
FYI Apple warranty is valid WORLDWIDE.
Apple warranty for iPhones is not normally a worldwide warranty.
Apple Australia will try to assist, but can't replace some OS models.
They have been known to replace UK iPhone 4 models, but not HK models. I have not seen any reports about iP4S models other than HK ones being refused AU replacement.
$819 + $19 shipping from Kogan
Maybe COTD forward the orders to Kogan Hong Kong Pty. Ltd. A quick and easy $61 profit.
so we should not blame crap of the day for slow shipping time,it should be kogan's responsibility!!!!!!
As Kogan HK P/L would be handling the delivery - Yes, one could blame Kogan, but I have not seen any complaints regarding slow delivery by Kogan HK. I understand that some iPhones get delivered as quickly as within two to three days.
Perhaps COTD would 'sit' on the payments for a while, before forwarding payment to Kogan HK? Even only 100 sales at $899 - that would be $89,900 gathering interest while they delay paying $83,800 to Kogan HK. Adding to COTD's $6,100 profit.
haahhaha, wish some1 posted this as a deal….
