I bought one over the weekend and for $15, I'm stoked with it - the finish quality is exactly what you'd expect from Anko but it feels like it'll hold up for a while at least. RGB lighting is pretty and a nice little bonus given I was just in the market for a large keyboard & mouse pad!

  • +5

It's crazy to think that branded mousepad is practically the same but 5 times the price.

    • +31

I have both the Kmart one and a Razer one, the Razer one is no way worth its price as iironhide correctly said its 5 times the price, the RGB on the Razer one is much better though the lighting is much more bright. Though with the Kmart one you dont need software to control its lighting as its done via a button on the edge of the mouse pad.

Quality wise they both feel the same to me.

Thanks for review might grab one. It's not necessary to leave your name at the end of a comment btw 😂

          Thanks for let me know

          Fred.

        • How will people know who left the comment then?

        • Me too might grab one.

          Cheers,
          Some fu*ken guy…

        Onya Mark, cheers

      • But the Razer one would sync with my keyboard and mouse RGB, which I find cool.

        • +1

Yes that is true, the colours match up but it cant really do zone effects as you can with a keyboard.

The biggest difference for me between the Razer and Kmart version is how vivid the RGB is on the Razer pad compared to the Kmart one.

    • Not really. There are many differences between cheap and enthusiast mouse pads for competitive gamers.

    • +1

Not even close, at least not if you intend to use a mouse on it.

Nice. Want free delivery just pick a store that only shows one in stock and likely it won't be there and they will delivery for free if they can't find it.

$14 "regional" delivery to Tas. None in stock nearby 🙁. I was in the market for a new mouse pad as well.

    • Is TAS considered regional by lots of retailers? Just interested.

      • Most places are ok. Can never get those alcohol eBay deals though. Seems like if they don't ship to WA they don't ship to TAS either.

  • Just pick a store that has 1 in stock even if it's not nearby and order it click and collect. If they have it cancel the order. If not. Free delivery.

much better off buying something like a puretrak talent or a hien copy like the odin infinity, much higher quality and will last 3+ years

    • bought the puretrak talent xl for $15, back to 25 now, and am going to pick it up today. I don't see many mousepad deals on ozbargain so i thought i wouldve passed on posting

      • amazing price for a good mousepad that will actually last a few years. all these 'light up' pads from no name brands are just some chinese oem that sells these to so many different manufacturers and they suck.

        • yeah. im also guilty of making a bad purchase. a keyboard deskmat haha, might stack.

        • yo, stacked my 2 mousepads makimg it 7mm and very (profanity) comfy. need to get used to the insane glide. sad that im using stock feet for g305

          • @Jostur: its like $10 for 2 sets of tiger arcs on ali express if your interested

            • @abjsdhasehasee: received my tiger ice feet i got for $10, 2 sets, i bought 2 weeks ago, i certainly got better

              • @Jostur: yep i did same, wish there was a way to buy corepads but theres no retailer that has them unfortunately.
eyeing the aerox 3 tiger ice instead of my g305 tiger ice as there just perfect circles, equal x and y glide

  • Thanks OP! Got one!

  • How do people clean RGB mouse pads? I normally throw my non-RGB one into the washing machine every 2 months. Scrubbing it doesn't seem to remove the dirt.

    • +1

Baby wipes do a pretty good job imo.

fantastic branded mats are $10-20 click and collect at OW

    so.. brah

        https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/c/technology…

looks like the best have already sold out. there's Lenovo Legion one left, but unavailable online

I got the Madcatz one for $10 it's solid

there was an $18 HP Omen one, real cool looking, but looks like it's gone, too.

        too late!

        • +4

Yes, but the ones that you got aren't the RGB ones. These are.

          • -8

@CrispyChrispy: RGB mouse pad? gosh! I am sorry, I should have known this is the RGB fans thread!

            I'll see myself out then

  • not bad not bad will check it out

  • Be careful not to pull the RGB module area, cause my mousepad wont stay flat

  • Thanks OP. Will give this a try after the lockdown is over and I hope the price stays at $15 just a while longer. It looks so small in the photos but it's huge if you check out the dimensions.

    • It is the perfect size for me.

I am using it on a 1500 mm wide table . Have a full size keyboard & mouse placed on the pad and still have some space on it.

    Anko more like Shitco

  • +1

too small, its more of a medium.
my current mat is 90 x 40 and it hold my stuff. anything smaller like this 77 x 30 is just a resting mat for the keyboard.

    • What are you putting on it? 77cm seems plenty big for a 44cm full sized keyboard like a Huntsman Elite and 33cm left for the mouse area is plenty

      • lol, my desk is huge and it shrinks my mat. i'm using a clavier mountain everest max keyboard, and it takes up a lot of my mat.
i guess this is perfect for a small desk.

        • +3

You compensating with such a big desk?

          • @Munki: lmao, i combine work and play in my home office. my keyboard is pretty big so i need a big mat. what i would really like is to cover my whole desk, but im pretty sure that has to be a custom job.

  • How would this one compare to ones from AliExpress (in terms of quality and durability)? Around the same price, can get larger ones, sometimes cheaper as well online.

    • +4

Other parts of the world: Price, quality, delivery speed. Pick two.

Australian edition: Price, quality, delivery speed. Pick one.

    • aliexpress >>>>

    • +1

they all come from china, lol. if you're in no rush just get from ali express. buying from kmart isn't really supporting local business anyways.

  • Kids got me one of these as part of their bundle for father's Day.

Comparing it to my other Kingston HyperX mouse mat it's slightly thinner but much smoother !
I'm using a roccat mouse and can hardly feel the mouse mat when sliding across, definitely worth the $15 imo.
Also doesn't have that stinky rubbery smell you get with cheaper mouse mats.

Also with Kingston HyperX Alloy elite keyboard on it I've still got about 33cm of space left for mouse.

    • it will be smoother for ~2 months then degrade into any chinese oem pad

      • Is this what happened to the one you've got ?

        • not this one exactly, but i bought the 'playmax' mousepad from jbhifi and compared to this one which one of my family member has, its the exact same size, exact same stitching, exact same looks and surface. it wore out this quick because its all the same chinese oems.
If you want a quality pad that will last years look into Artisan pads if your super invested or an 'odin infinity' from mwave for $40 for 2xl which is huge with afterpay. or a puretrak xl from mwave is like $20 and good aswell.

coated = with a design on it
          uncoated = no design

uncoated texture and glide lasts much longer.

i pre-ordered an odin infinity pad about a month ago and stock is coming in about 1-2 weeks from now, its practically an artisan hien (super long quality pad) clone for 'cheap' that will last you years.

          • @abjsdhasehasee: Thanks for the reply.
The surface stitching on the Kmart one is quite fine and tight when I looked at through 20x magnifying lense. So will see how it holds up.

My Kingston HyperX pad is about 4yrs old and still in pretty good shape. Which I'll probably keep using.
Will use the Kmart one for a few days as kids gave it to me then they'll probably nick it anyway as its got leds on it lol

  • bought one, thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP!, bought 2, one for the wife and one for myself.

  • Thanks OP, just grabbed two

  • +8

Bought 2 to upgrade my placemats and add some romance next Valentines dinner at home.

  • How does this compare to the Lenovo Legion mouse pad that went for $15 at the beginning of this year.

  • I have been using this for months now at $25

It’s absolutely fine for casual or competitive gaming. I’ve been happy with the mouse speed, it’s consistent, sits flat, and looks nice for next to no money at all.

As a bonus it’s really convenient to just unplug it and plug my mouse in to charge overnight without having to dig around for a cable under the desk.

  • So I've ordered mine and still yet to receive an email whether it's ready to be collected.

    • I ordered before 12am on the day of this deal and got an email in the afternoon saying I could pick it up the next day. So much for their "order before 12 and get it before 4pm" promise.
Maybe for you they haven't been able to locate the stock and are running out the delivery clock?

      • -1

Dude, you're buying a mouse pad from Kmart.
That's literally only one step higher than buying a single tallie from LiquorLand at 8am.
        Chill.

        • +1

Not sure where you read into me going into hysterics about it being delayed? I was just stating my situation for FiloGuy so he would have some reassurances. Maybe it is you who needs some chill?

  • Sold out in most of Sydney city area. :(

  • Just got mine, very happy with it for the price. I wonder how it will hold up over time, however the fabric quality seems to be decent.

  • It is no longer on the Kmart webpage but if you go into some stores you may still find one or two left. Their price is listed at $25 but when you get them scanned they are now all on Clearance at an even lower price of $10. I got one that way lol
