Bored in lockdown, I spent the last week researching some free Print & Play board games.

Here are some I enjoyed (and don't require immense amounts of printing!)

Mint Works A "dice tower" approved worker placement game. (I still haven't beaten the AI, so proving quite a challenge!) Board Game Geek Rating: 7.0
Food Chain Island This is the black & white preview, but makes for a thoughtful little puzzle game with some interesting mechanics. Board Game Geek Rating: 7.3
Orchard: A 9 Card Solitaire Game I haven't actually played this yet, but looks fun & highly rated. Board Game Geek Rating: 7.5

Not from PNPArcade, but some others from around the web:

Tussie Mussie from the creator of Wingspan. Board Game Geek Rating: 7.0
Secret Hitler is a fun bluffing game of intrigue and deception.
Dixit This is a "lite" version, with 36 cards, but would still fun for the whole family.
Farmers Finances Another one I haven't played yet, but looks fun.

Most of these take only around 20 minutes to play, so may not distract you for long, but I hope you can get some joy out of them. (And I enjoyed the process of cutting out each card)

Shout out to the Community version of Android Netrunner called Nisui. A bit of a Unit to print but once cut and sleeved it plays pretty nicely.

    Funnily enough all 3 games are by the same creator, Richard Garfield!
    
    Also for what it is worth I printed NISEI Gateway System on 210gsm Silk, at Officeworks, cut it with an Officeworks guillotine I picked up at the opshop for ten bucks! I sleeved it up in SMALL MATTE 62 X 89mm sleeves, red for the runner, blue for the corp.

Been playing Tabletop Simulator with friends online on Steam since the first Victorian Lockdown.

Highly recommend it - if you can get it on sale it's about $15 per person but a massive selection of games on the Steam workshop by players who have scanned the original components and uploaded the images, etc.

    Note: some of the mods on the Steam workshop are enhanced versions of the paid DLC's listed in the first link above.
    For example, Zombicide is a paid game, but someone on the workshop has made a scripted version so game setup is all automated.
    
    Pro-tip: look for scripted versions of games if you're one that hates setting up games or calculating + distributing points/money within the game.

Great post. Can anyone recommend any for kids? I have a 7-year-old (and 4-year-olds, but even something for the 7-year-old would be great).

  Dixit is very fun, and storytelling based. Sushi Go (the one in the comments) could work too, and Tussie Mussie perhaps (you may have to curb own ability a bit to make it fair)

If there are any die hard gamers who fancy a challenge (in rules learning, and printing/making!) recently released, yet struggling to actually get into Aussie retailers, kickstarter Stationfall has PNP files (released by the game creator during the Kickstarter and left up. Only difference to retail release is a card change on the 'corpsicle' character).

It's one of the most interesting/challenging games i've played in years. Plays up to 9, and well worth discovering if you're into secret identity games and the idea of collapsing space station chaos sets your heart on fire. Who doesn't like aliens, space monkeys, telepathic rats, psycho androids and man eating plants?
