[Steam,PC,Mac,Linux] Tabletop Simulator Single Pack (50% off) $14.47 @ Humble Bundle

220

Humble bundle is having a sale.
More importantly half price on tabletop simulator

  • this is more a physics engine allowing to play board games
  • you can buy official DLCs
  • or download free official DLCs/unofficial DLC or "mods"

Notably this is cheaper than buying the 4 pack. The 4 pack is not on sale

Found this a great way to fill the lockdown time + to run games whilst running screen share

Also humble bundle is having a bigger overall sale

  • Is this like Jackbox where only one person needs to own it to be able to play with a crew online?
Or does everyone have to have this installed on their computer?

Short answer: everyone will need a version but only one version of a mod.

      Long answer:
By everyone having their own copy, they can rotate around their screen to their hearts desire without impacting someone else's view.
      - it also allows people to have hidden elements only they can see. Ie like their cards in a game of poker.

I have tried steams remote play and it just wasn't good. So even for cooperative games (like micro macro or pandemic) with perfect open information, it was easier to share screen through zoom. Even then it was annoying moving the screen around at people's whims. So I wouldn't recommend a single copy unless playing like D and D

The mods just have to be hosted by one person so for the paid stuff, only one person needs to buy it.

Addit: usually there is a four pack on steam sale that works then buying the four keys individually. Currently on Fanatical it is discounted but it's cheaper buying individually
