The price is $599. Cashback doesn't count. The $75 is, presumably, to spend at a later time and does not discount the price. So you are spending $599 for a washing machine and $75 voucher to spend with Gerry, and may get cashback. Having said that, it appears to be a good price for a machine that is normally over $700.

it has a 15 minute quick wash function which is really useful when you're in a hurry.

    • -6

Hurry for what? The clothes will still need to be dried.

      • +22

Maybe if you need to quickly do a load and hang it up before heading out for the day?

    • -1

only time i've found this function worthy is to pop in socks, cuz I can't stand keeping them in a laundry basket waiting for a full load. they get washed right after work I don't care.

    • Really only use this cycle in an absolute emergency.

15minutes is just not long enough to wash properly and then rinse properly.

Normal daily cycle for me usually takes around 1 hour.

These machines are great. Sooo quiet.

Harvery Norman? I think you spelt thievery incorrectly.

How's the vibration on this thing during tumble dry? Our current Samsung front loader shakes like a mini earthquake.

    • +1

Be prepared for circuit board errors in the next couple of years.

    • +1

Mate has had the same one for 3 years now, doesn't vibrate at all. He has a dryer placed directly on top of it and no movement.

      • Thanks for the feedback. Though I think having an heavy object sitting on top helps to reduce vibration.

Hopefully someone who's using it free-standing can confirm.

        • +4

Will confirm tomorrow once it gets delivered. Ordered at 2:30pm today and already got a call confirm time for delivery.

        • All the feet need to be properly adjusted. The shock absorbers inside the washing machine need to be replaced if worn out. These 2 things and any machine will spin like a new one (unless the springs are worn out too which I doubt).

Lol! Mine shakes the entire house if I ever put on the max speeds.. I can hear the plates rattling in the kitchen.

      • u sure that the secure bolts at rear were unscrewed when installed?

        • Yeh. It's just getting old.

When I first got it, quiet as a whisper, barely felt anything. my previous apartment was also more solid base then my current house.

Works fine on lower rpm, just can't turn it up to 1100rpm.

          • @lawyerz: fair enough

            • +3

@liam2021: Just want to be clear I do NOT have this model. It's Fisher Paykel model

          • @lawyerz: fair enough, it just means a drier outcome, if you were gonna put them on the line all day, then it wouldn't matter even if you dried it at a very low 600 rpm.

I have the HWF80BW2 which is a very similar machine and it's quiet and not much vibration, I'm impressed with how good a machine it is but it only gets used 1-2 times per week

  • Do they take away existing washing machine as part of delivery?

    • They do. Delivery for washing machine usually comes with installation and removal of old one.

Can I ask for a corona money hoarding discount?

    • +1

They paid it back? They can't enforce their franchisees to do the same

      • Lol, the immage remains!

  • How does the Haier brand is? Never used their any product.

    • Had 7.5kg at last place, rated it.. loud as you expect clothes were clean, though i find 7.5 is just a bit too small.

    • they now own Fisher & Paykel and a few other well known brands

$569 with free delivery if you can wait a while

  • In the market for a washing machine. Can anyone comment on haier???

    Did they buy out asko??

    • No that would be Hisense — but Haier bought out Fisher & Paykel and drove down the quality on that brand as well in the past 5 years. Haier is a cheap brand made in China so dont expect much for the price or any aftermarket service (i've had clients knocked back on warranty claims less than 7 days out of warranty). Some people get good milage but most just dont. FYI though since 2020 Hisense have redesigned a lot of the Asko machines and caused lots of issues with those as well, such a shame because Asko was an incredible brand and well built for over 30 years :(

      • Thanks. I’ll steer clear

I believe you can get HWF85AN1 which the newest version washer $588 at The Good Guys Commercial plus delivery which is normally $55.

    • Newer models ditched the brushless motors for standard ones. Less torque but you get wifi instead.

      • So Haier downgraded their product effectively? Which makes sense to purchase a previous version then..

        • this was my exact train of thought
