How were people getting the watch for free?
Wouldn't it be better to pay a little more for the watch 4 active one, especially since this won't get upgraded is till sometime next year by the sounds
Where did you hear it won't be upgraded till next year?

As for timeline, partners will not begin the Wear OS 3 upgrade until the “mid to second half of 2022.”
No thanks. Only watch in the last five years that came with a LCD screen, no ambient light sensor and poor nits brightness output.
Even though it'll get WearOS 3, it's crippled by the poor screen.
'Crippled' is a pretty strong word. I've been wearing this watch every day for about a month now, and never once found the screen too dim to read.
Even outdoors? Hard sell since I've had wearOS watches with LCD screens in the past that have had issues. I could be wrong, but I doubt its a great screen at all.
It's not a great screen. It's definitely nothing special, but it's perfectly functional. I'm just saying that it's not 'crippled.'
I got it for free (from the HIIT challenge) and very happy with it. Charging only every 2nd day.
@klaw81: That's my point. Wouldn't buy this unless it was dirt cheap cos since every fitness band and watch has been OLED in the last few years it kinda sucks.
I bought one of these in the HIIT challenge period and I have been super impressed with this watch. Don't know what I was expecting when I bought it, but I am definitely really impressed by it. Very easy to use.
I charge it overnight and by the end of the day going to bed it generally has around 50-60% left in the battery.
Better to find one on Gumtree from people who got the watch for free. Good find though!
