Is there any expiration on the card itself? Or can I like buy it now, and top it up in 2 years when we can travel again?

    • +2

      Hey W00fer,

The SIM Card | eSIM | Microchip SIM lasts forever.

The SIM comes with 100MB included that last 360 days from activation.
A further 900MB is shared to your account once you activate it that data expires 22 AUG 2022.

Once activated you're good to go, so yes you can top it up whever you like. You can also buy plans in the app and cancel them in case a snap lockdown occurred.

As if that would ever happen ;)

      I hope this helps!

      Cheers,

      James

      Hey swalloweda,

Fair point, I've never really considered the political persuasion of OZber's before. For the record, we officially hate all poiticans equally.

Perhaps the bucket loads of cash old mate splashed on a struggling business last year has softened us somewhat.

Reckon he's really anti-bradburied his election chances, one job.

      Cheers!

  • ScoMo has promised that once we hit 80% fully vaxxed he'll open our borders to travel again!

Will be interesting when ScoMo announces international borders are open, but state premiers provide no-where for the planes to land :-)

    • Hey chrism,

I'm not so sure about Dan, but Berijiks is a dead set lock. The question is will other countries allow NSW residents in!

      Cheers,

      James

  • Hi op what country would the number be from.

    • Hi jes,

Our SIMs are essentially data only, however there is a feature in the Flexiroam X that allows you to place outbound VoIP calls with your own mobile caller ID.

      See: https://travels.im/blogs/travel-hacks/wifi-phone

eSIM enabled phones are typically dual SIM meaning you can still use your home SIM to receive inbound SMS (usually free). You can take/make calls if you really need to. You can use your eSIM just for data.

iMessage, FaceTime still work and of course many people now have Microsoft Teams, or Zoom numbers which also only need data to make “real” phone calls.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,

      James
