I was also looking at this deal yesterday however decided to side with the Gamesir X2 (2021 edition):

-I have S21 Ultra with Spigen S-pen case which Kishi wouldnt fit (even with rubber grommets removed)
-Flexible usb C port means inserting/removing the phone is easier

Hoping Pokemon Unite will have controller support though on mobile

    • Wow didn't know about the gamesir x2 looks interesting. I too have s21 ultra.

    • +1

Forgot to add the link to the place i purchased:

      https://au.banggood.com/GameSir-X2-Type-C-Mobile-Gaming-Cont…

      • I got the Ipega PG-9167. Try as i might. Cant seem to configure it so i can play games on my phone.

        Is this easy to configure?

      • I want this because it looks good and has a custom mapping program.
I find it hard to justify not using my regular console controller+ clip.
If only it was cheaper and could connect to pc as well.

        • Can you link to a good clip? Are you using xbox or PS?

    • +1

If I'm not wrong I think the Gamesir controller you have there also allows for a certain Switch emulator to work on newer Snapdragons - for anyone who wants to go down that hole. Looks like an interesting controller.

    • I have a Note 20 Ultra and could not buy Kishi because it won't fit. This option would work for me. Thank you.

    • Yeah. If you've got a device that fits the Kishi perfectly I'd say it's the better option by a little bit. Slightly better feel/tactile response and a little lighter.

But if you want something that'll work with whatever you've got and only be a little bit worse than the Kishi then the GameSir X2 is your best bet.

    • bought exact same model. works well with my xiaomi mix2 and 3

  • Does this work for Mobile Legends?

You need Xbox Cloud for this, no? what's the usage scenario?

    • +1

Don't need Xbox cloud for this - this is just a game controller that connects to the phone.

There's no internal battery for this and it uses your phones battery when connect.

    • what's the usage scenario?

      emulation on android

Fairly sure ps2 games are playable now.

      • Yeah emulator apps on the store that you can mapping controls to play classic games or other games that support controller already like cod mobile

      • PS2 emulation is not in a good place on Android.

Damon PS2 and Play! are it for the moment and at that, very few are in playable state

    • I use it with Steam. Streaming games from PC and playing it on my phone. There's also a selection of Android games that have native controller support.

      • How would one stream game from PC to mobile using Steam?

        • Download the Steam Link app from the play store

Good price. Android version cheaper at $83.21

    • Yes, it was over $100 when I posted but I see they've dropped it now too. An even better deal!

  • +1

Mine shows '$83.21' (for Android) & then '$89.27' (for Android & Xbox - though it includes 14 days Xbox Game Pass Ultimate). Both from Amazon US
Would be worth mentioning the normal Android one for cheaper price

  • what the heck is this. Thought I was looking at steamdeck preorder for a few second

    • Click the little Amazon link or the Go to Deal button in the post above. That will take you to the sales page where you can read more about it.

  • I have this, I like it better than using my controller clip with XB1 controller (bulkiness + weight distribution + pain to set up every time).

    Cons:

    1. No 3.5mm jack and no audio pass through on the USBC port. You are forced to used BT. Quite annoying for me.

    2. Triggers are a little rattly feeling

I also took out the rubber grommets and added bits of thin foam strips to keep it stable with my phone (Poco F2 Pro) + case. IIRC it's not designed to be used with the case so can't hold it against the device. Feels pretty good now, like a bigger PSP and easy to use.

Main things I use for are playing PC games/PC emulators streamed to my phone via moonlight. Works pretty flawlessly once you get it set up.

    • This correct site for moonlight?
      https://moonlight-stream.org/

So when streaming on a mobile with moonlight, I guess ones PC needs to be on streaming content to ones mobile?

      • +2

        Yes and yes.

I recommend looking into Gamestream Launchpad and Playnite to use with moonlight for the most seamless experience from phone.

    • how do you find the input lag streaming over wifi? I've used the steam stream platform at home a few times and felt like the latency was just a bit too much to use on a regular basis (5ghz wifi with a good router)

      • +1

I found Moonlight way better than Steam Link (which is odd because my understanding is they use the same codecs on NVidia cards). I basically felt the same way as you with Steam Link, with the same set up.

Steam Link had enough latency that it was annoying to use for action games (e.g. Rocket League, NBA2k), whereas with Moonlight it was pretty close to native - there is still a slightly perceptible latency but nowhere near enough to really bother me, and you get used to it after a few minutes. Honestly, I think it was more switching between PC and phone that made it noticeable, rather than the phone experience in isolation.

You do need a NVidia GPU for Moonlight though (I think I saw a project to make AMD compatible somewhere, I'm not sure how well it works).

        • Thanks for the rundown, might need to give moonlight another try, haven't used it in years

  • I'd be all over this if it worked with cod mobile without carrying around an Xbox controller for it to work, unfortunately only the iPhone version does.

  • too heavy

  • Will SB got through on this? Tried but I've never had one track through Amazon

    • It won't. It's in the video game category.

  • do we have the same product, but for iPhone please?

  • Is this a good controller for call of duty mobile. Would like to get some improvement as I am getting slaughtered in Battle royal often
