why are you getting negged, you are providing the information we wanted…..

shame on sony… I don't think they will release this on the X9000H series since there's few left for sale.

        • If they don't I will expect some sort of compensation or replacement from Sony.

No reason why they cant do it being a simple software update for VRR

          • @cristobaljamesy: To get compamsatio… Even longer shot..
But if it's a simple software update as you said…. Why don't they provide it on launch?

          • @cristobaljamesy: Everything is simple and everyone is an expert with an opinion until you have to code the firmware yourself under a deadline.

Yes there are companies who have coded the vrr into their firmware but there are also ones who haven’t. When have people become so uptight in this country. Just chill and relax. It’ll be released eventually, done when it’s done.

Good luck getting any service from Sony Australia. I recently bought a KD75X9500H from Sony Website and have got a dead green pixel right in middle of screen, been 2 weeks and still trying to get a replacement :(

    • +1

Have you called the service number ? They were really good the last time I needed them …

      • +1

Yeah I am dealing with them and just taking bit longer for them to get it replaced..

        • So you are getting good service, they are just having a supply/delivery problem because of stock levels and delivery delays.

  • No cash back on Cashrewards and ShopBack

    • There is if you get Sony to price match themselves direct on their own site (8% at cash rewards)

  • Will jbhifi match Amazon?

    • Depends on when they are at within the monthly sales cycle, the personality of the sales person as well as how nice you come across on the day. A few variables to consider.

I've found them pretty good when matching Amazon as long as it's Australian. I have only matched on Sold and Shipped by Amazon AU. It does say Sony Australia, I think you will be fine.

Great TV and quick. Only downside is the known issue of wifi being forgotten regularly. Anyone else get this?

    • I don't think it is just this TV it is all Sony TVs. I have 2 at home and in the last year, they both keep losing saved WIFI. It is getting beyond annoying .. Surely Sony can patch it soon!

      • I have owned a 75'' one since early May. This Wi-fi issue has happened twice so far (one happened three days ago), so it has been like a quarterly event for me. Long-press the power button and wait for 20 secs will resolve the issue. But I cannot deny the issue.

    • Yeah My wifi wont work sometimes when I turn off the TV. I think it depended on how many intensive apps I ran on it. I had native android games running as well as Prime and Netflix.

This happened a lot when I first got the tv and I assumed that they used a cheap wifi hardware module or something. But ever since the 4k 120hz update, the tv has not had another wifi issue.

    • Haven’t used WiFi with it. Using good ol reliable cable for mine.

    • Need help from fellow 75 X9000H owners here

How long does yours take for the screen to be turned on after you click the "power" button on the remote?

Mine took 5 to 6 seconds I am wondering if it's normal? My 6yo powered on and power off the tv within 1 sec on a handful of occasions and I was that close to renounce him

Just a word of warning, this set is heavy!

If you are planning on wall mounting please use extra fixings than you may already have for a smaller/lighter TV.

I unfortunately found out the hard way and have since repurchased after repairing my wall and installing more than double the amount of the original fixings.
After originally having only four and using the same articulated wall mount for over 5 years I have since added six more for a total of ten.

    • Apoorly installed job will have issues such as this .. do it right the first time and you are better ahead

      • +1

Yep, I thought using the included 4 fixings would be enough and it was for the previous two TV's I mounted for the past 5 years or more without an issue.

This thing weighs way more than the 75" that replaced it which should have been a red flag for me..

Hopefully someone who reads this won't fall victim to the same shiz

    • Did you have any warnings before it fell out? Like creaks or bolts coming off the wall?

  • Nada, my cleaners found it and sent me a picture message.

Hadn't used the room for about 4 days or so and never heard the crash so just have happened whilst we were out..

Was hoping to have saved the TV but whe. We finally flipped it over it was FUBAR

James Packer … is that you? A whopper $4K TV (check), in a spare room (or should that be wing of your mansion?) (check), that you haven't used for 4 days (check), discovered by your cleaner (check), because you were out (presumably on a super-yacht with a supermodel) (check), yet too cheap to have your casino company pay the tax it owes or pay for a proper TV mount (check).
/s (I'm playfully jesting, not intending to cause genuine offense)
