1c more expensive than ALDI, Same price as IGA

Cheaper per 100g ($1.25 vs. $1.67) at Coles if you want the 200g.

Yep agree. Go to Coles as it's cheaper per gram.

      Coles 200g Toblerone = $1.25 per 100g

      Woolworths 360g Toblerone = $1.67 per 100g

Also same price at Big W which have all flavours.
      Edit: except Fruit & Nut.

Agreed BigW has the full range of milk, dark and white Toblerone, and they are $6, half price. I ordered some dark online and when I collected them the guy at the Service Desk was musing that they only stock them all for special occasions, and the white ones are a runaway favourite, always selling out no matter how many they order. The dark is very popular too, and part of the reason I ordered click and collect was to ensure I got my stash of 6 of them, that last me forever, before they too sell out ;-) Next availability will be prior to Christmas.

I'll have to try the dark out, and maybe buy more of the white which I bought 2 blocks of (it's bloody good, much prefer it to the milk). And yeah prior to them coming back in stock recently they had been out of stock seemingly since Christmas last year (which I still missed out on then as there were none in stock at my local when I went to go and buy).

Were these $10 full price until recently?

    • Yes.

Ok so no more $5 I guess. $6 seems expensive

    I wonder who'd spend $12 on this.

  • It is a rip-off for the larger packs - first they reduced the size from 400g to 360g and kept the price the same (effective 11% increase - waaay more than CPI, even over a few years). Now they increased the sale price from $5 to $6 for the 360g pack (effective price increase of 20% - on top of the previous 11%).

Reminds me of private health insurance - they are the only other thing I can think of that has this kind of increases.

  • Put them in the fridge and you can use them as Baseball bats. Still cheap Netflix dessert.

  • Everyone loves a big one.

I find the shape of the toblerone rather awkward and a bit worried where it snaps.

    • HOW TO EAT TOBLERONE PROPERLY – A Toblerone hack you probably didn’t know about

It’s just chocolate, is there really a wrong way to eat it? Well, as a matter of fact, you’ve probably been eating it the wrong way since you started eating this delicious chocolate bar. Toblerone is made with triangular prisms joining together to form a bar. Everyone is so used to pulling out each triangle to eat, biting it off or even nibbling at it but this is not the right way to eat this chocolate bar.

Pulling the triangles outward is the wrong way to break each piece. You’ve probably discovered that each time you try to pull out a piece, it seems a bit difficult and your fingers get covered in chocolate. The reason why you need to apply more pressure to pull out the triangles is because you’re pulling to the wrong direction. To eat a toblerone, you should push the triangles inwards towards the other triangles on the bar. When you try this toblerone hack, you discover that it is easier to break each piece. Just tap on the tip of the triangle and push gently. That’s it, no stress at all and you don’t get your hands covered in chocolate.

      • I see, you see, the conundrum.

      • +1

Words and words, you should push the triangles inwards

        • +1

          TL;DR: Push in
