Never bought these myself. Could be worth a shot for this price (Usually $15.95 for 1x 250g bag).
Bought one of each to try out. Enjoy!

He really took the plunge
stop grinding him fine.
Agreed, the roasting has gone too far.
@Haliax: Pls don't tamp me down any further.

Their coffee isn't great.. not bad for 500gm delivered but think I will wait for a better deal from a roaster
If it's anything like the coffee that they serve in their cafes then I wouldn't bother. You can get some good quality beans from a reputable roaster for that price.
The single origin beans from Aldi are $15/kg and they're as good as anything else I've tried. Admittedly I never buy expensive coffee, but Aldi are the best of the cheap ones, and the coffee I get from them is better than most cafes IMO.
Any idea on how dated they are once they hit the shelf? I've tried the Dark roast for $11.99 from Aldi once, and it was quite stale in comparison with some reputable roasters.
I tried the dark roast ones and they weren't good either. The single origin ones are much better IME.
Can I make a suggestion you try something from Airjo/Primo/literally anything posted here. Not sure how quickly you go through 1kg of coffee, but for the $30 or less it's going to set you back I would never buy supermarket beans again.
So I had been buying direct from roasters down the road from me in and around Sydney’s inner west for the longest time - like Campos in Newtown or Toby’s estate in Chippendale.
A couple of months back I was out of coffee and in a rush… I was picking up a few things from Harris Farm and while they have Toby’s estate on the shelf the beans were a bit old.
So I picked up 1kg of the Harris Farm Dolce blend for $25 (normal price) as it had only been roasted about a week earlier (not bad for buying from a supermarket).
Classic Italian style espresso bean that IMO is super solid. Lovely taste, beautiful crema, and a bean I’m happy to drink on the daily. While I do love a bit of variety, and will buy a small bag of something more ‘fancy’ from time to time, it’s what I’ll drink most of the time. Not sure paying double down at the roasters is twice as good.
Definitely worth a try and hands down better than anything else you’ll buy at that price range, from a supermarket, and probably a lot of roasters. I’ve tried a deal from here recently (won’t brand shame) and I threw it out and bought more Dolce blend, which was still cheaper than the 50% off offer i found on here.
I bought blue lime beans a whole back and they were good, but only slightly better than Aldi ones IMO, and not worth 3x the price to me.
Plenty of people have made me coffees with more expensive beans and I don't like them as much, which just re-enforces my opinion that it's more about how you make the coffee than the beans, and that most people burn or over extract their coffee.
I've tried a few of the Airjo beans, Inglewoods, and also some from the local roasters near me and still really like the Aldi ones. Can't stand Lavazza, LOR, or Harris. All personal preference.
Agreed. In general the cheaper / '40% off' type coffee deals on here are pretty garbage - better off spending a little extra and getting some good quality beans from a roastery like Ona, Maker etc IMO.
I'm not sure why you would buy these (@ $32/kg) when there are other great roasters selling beans for a similar price. Coffee Club aren't exactly known for their amazing coffee… Unless someone can tell me these beans are amazing, I can't really see the deal in this.
Exactly this.
+1 on this
Agreed..
I usually buy Airjo or Inglewood beans given they're Ozb favourites. This was a deal to me because they're currently full price ($50/kg) at my regulars, and ive been meaning to try something new. At $15.95 for 500g, agree it's not a phenomenal deal - but worth a try for 2 different flavours.
The Agro Beans has a good permanent ozbargain deal, 2kg for 50$
https://agrobeans.com.au/products/ozbargaindeal
Thanks may try that next.
is it good?
@kollier: I like their crema and organic beans, IMHO a good freshly roasted coffee.
I got two bags of Inglewood beans as per the last deal on here, and one was so terrible I gave it away on a local 'Good Karma network' facebook page. The other was only half a step up from instant coffee.. so I think i'll be sticking to the higher quality roasters from now on.
Can I ask who you refer to as high quality roasters? Maybe I need to venture out of my regulars.
@itslittfam: That comment probably sounded a bit snobby.. but I have found coffee from both 'Ona' and 'Maker' in particular to be consistently great. Criteria Coffee is also another that's highly recommended that I haven't had the chance to try yet.
I can't say I was a big fan of the Airjo, but I recently tried Motobean - Racer Blend and really enjoyed it with my setup (Bambino Plus/Smart Grinder Pro). Picked up a kilo for $38 via this deal (now expired): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/644827
The seller has good deals with different roasters all the time, so might be worth having a look: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/directcoffee.com.au
Yeah I had followed for months all the Ozbargain love for Airjo and finally decided to give them a go with the last special. Was pretty underwhelming and actually preferred the Aldi beans I had the month before. However the Airjo service and packaging and shipping was excellent as was the free express shipping
@djz: Agree, the service was great. Can't fault it. The coffee isn't bad, it's just not quite to my tastes and I'm prepared to pay a little more for something I like better.
My family bought me a subscription to this recently - https://www.beanhunter.com/coffee-club. It's been good for sampling different roasters, but it's a bit more expensive than grabbing your usual OzB deals.
@dontpanic: When the beans are fresh and decent quality, it does come down to taste/preference.
It's possible you'd like another blend or SO from them. Sometimes its roast profile too.
I mostly order manna beans, but it seems i dislike their most popular blend.
Yup - Industry Beans has 20% off online for $30 spend (newsletter comes with reuseable code) with free express shipping for excellent coffee.
Yep, if their in-store coffees are anything to go by, I would just get Aldi coffee which is half of the price.
Ew, really? I mean good on them for trying to diversify, but chain coffee? Why bother with so many good local independent alternatives.
Coffee club? Probably the worst coffee sold by a "cafe", consistently…
Could be worth a shot? Don't strain yourself with these puns.
