Seems like a pretty good deal on the Miele Triflex HX1 Runner 3-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner. This model seems to be going for around $800 in other places and comes with 2 interchangeable batteries.

Great deal but I'd rather wait for a ripper deal on the pro infinity (around double the price atm). Tested out all the miele cordless vacuums instore. The pro is by far best on the market and sh!ts all over the top specd dyson.

Does it also shit on all the other Ozbargain favourites, like the dreame viomi t69?
You know that bunch have die hard supporters

    • Did you try it against the V15? If so, what ways was the Triflex Pro any better?

    • the Pro model is $948 atm @Amazon

Out of curiosity, in which ways did you feel that the Miele outperformed the V15?

It’s been very rare for people to say that they preferred and I’d be curious for your perspective.

Most people I’ve talked to have noted how much lower the air wattage of the HX1 is (170 v 230).

Would love your feedback on how the dyson could be better!

      • More power more suction. Please go and test for yourself. Just my opinion.

        • The dustbin is smaller though right?

        • +1

185aw on the Miele vs 230aw on the V15. Seems you’re wrong.

I work with them every weekend as a Dyson Expert full disclosure.

These views are my own and aren't speaking on their behalf at all but.
-The V15 has 35% more suction than HX1.
-The head is smaller and more comparable to older Dysons like the V6 where the really thin brush bar gets clogged with hair in no time
          - Miele's stated 120 minutes on low is inaccurate, when you put the motorised floor head on, it drops to 35 minutes (70 minutes over the 2) whereas the V11/15 will give you that on one.

As I see it, the main benefit of the HX1 is that you can put it in upright mode to have it self standing and improve the weight distribution. I think that's a really cool feature, but when using it in stick mode I find it very unwieldy.

Miele absolutely makes fantastic vacuums in their premium range. I have a C3 from before I worked for Dyson and although it isn't used much anymore, it's an absolute tank. My main concern with the HX1 is that it's the very first version. I wouldn't want to be a beta tester myself, so would want to stick to proven products. Until they bring out a new one, if the Dyson is too exxy I'd go for the LG CordZero personally, at least that's been proven and given time to have most of its shortcomings addressed.

Obviously everyone's needs are different, and HX1 might be perfect for you. Those are just my 2 cents, or maybe 5 dollars, sorry to dump a paragraph or two on ya.

    • Same vacuum cleaner but does not have the additional battery.

There is a similar model @ Bing Lee for $599

The difference I see is the colour and no extra battery included with white one

I bought this vacuum and returned it because I noticed the bin/canister was cracked. Used it once and it was really nice, very powerful but I don't think its worth double the price of Xiaomi G10 or Dreame equivalent which can be had for about 250-300 dollars.

    • good to know as I was about to have buyers remose for buying the Dream V11 the other day lol

      • Nah don't worry, you'll be happy you saved the money. I can tell that my Xiaomi G10 is not as powerful as the Miele, but realistically, for something that is used maybe once a week for fifteen minutes, it's excellent value for money.

  • This one or Dyson V10?

    • I have a v10 and very happy with it - but the one thing I like about this one is you can set it up so weight is down low - easier on the arms and hands if you're vacuuming for a while. If you have hard floors the v10's soft roller brush is awesome.

      • I’m using V6 for years, is it worth to upgrade to V10?

        • Definitely. I went from a V6 to a V10. So much better, from the cannister actually emptying and the increased power and run time

    • Or what we did and go with the dreame T20.

  • Thx OP, the old chook has been waiting for a Miele price drop..

Review says bad with hair tangles on brushhead, with 3 females in the house no thanks…

    • I dont think many vacuums can handle hair very well. They all need manual removal as it gets caught in the rotating brush

      • The shark and electrolux are some of the ones that have built in brush cleaners.

      • +1

V15 has a tangle free brush head and it works flawlessly.

    • There's a little groove you can run a stanley knife across and it just cuts the hair straight out. My wife sheds like crazy, but it's easy enough to untangle.

  • At 351 you have me, at 648… Not so much.

I've had the pro for about 6months now. The only difference between pro and standard model is that the pro comes with an extra battery. We love this model! It works great. Kids now love doing the vacuuming. Because it's handy so much easier to use than dragging out the old barrel vacuum.
We don't have much carpet but it picks up a huge amount of debris from a medium sized rug. Yes the bin is a little small, but easy to empty. The rotating brush does gather hair but so does any rotating brush.
I'm honestly surprised at how much I like it.

The cat & dog model and pro model both have HEPA filters whereas the runner and standard model don't have a HEPA filter.

      • Cheers, I didn't realise that. Thanks for pointing that out

    • +1

Another key feature of the Pro and Runner is the illuminated head. I think you have to spend $1,399 RRP to get a Dyson with a laser head. Also, you don't have to hold a power trigger on the HX1 - an arguably annoying Dyson feature.

I have an HX1 purchased a few months back. Asa previous dreame v9 user, we were blown out by the performance of Miele. It collects lots and lots of dust. Another thing is how light it felt when configured near to brush head. Honestly, we never felt in need of an additional battery, but it depends on the usage. We are using it as short multiple-time usage rather than using it for full home at a go. But really recommend it. One of the common problems we saw on the internet by reading reviews are
    1) Dustbin is small ( Yes, it is small but quick emptying technique and capacity suits us well)
    2) sometimes debris is stuck in the dustbin, and it's tough to clean (This doesn't seem right, as to empty the dustbin, we can turn dustbin for a quick empty, or separate the filter and clean easily). See this video, and you will get a better view. In short, the issue is not real at all).

  • Crazy price! Nah. I would go for Xiaomi, better performance and longer battery life.

  • And deals on the Miele pet vacuum please?

  • Powerland has the pro model for $929 on their website and on ebay for those that are interested. The Miele website also has a promotion which also includes the an additional head (valued at $149) which is only comes bundled with the cat & dog model. IMO this is the best value as you get all of the HX1 attachments, an additional battery and the HEPA filter.

I've had the pro model for a couple months and can vouch for it!! It does get heavy if you are using the handheld version for along time so keep that in mind.

Made in Germany and Varta batteries generally pretty good. Probably still a tad expensive for what it is, but I'd certainly purchase this over a Dyson any day.

  • Do not buy. The dust bin emptying process on this vacuum is criminal.

  • First I've heard of Miele doing a stick vac.
Does it compare well to Dyson v11, V12 and v15?
I've still got my v11 but wondering in a few years if I should recommend this over the v11 etc. I currently think the 11 is amazing

  • Bought and returned the HX1 cat & dog model. There was a sale somewhere and Miele store price matched the Cat&Dog for same price as runner.

I love Miele products and have several appliances around the home including the corded CX1 Vac.

Let’s just say the suction is lacking for this price bracket. Built quality is nice and so is the rotating brush head and awesome filtration you can expect from Miele. But emptying the dust bin is a pain and being under powered is just disappointing.

    Since ordered the Xiaomi/Dreame V12.

My Roidmi F8 still going strong and the suction is better than Miele for half the price. But filtration is no where near as good.
