I bought one with free battery kit last week. Will see if they can match the price.
Doing online chat with Dyson right now and they cannot add the free filter for price match. But they do have 45 days money back guarantee if it doesn't suit our need. So I'm willing to give it a try.
This or V8?
v8 more versatile
Been reading about this one - I don't see why anyone would buy it to be honest. V8 seems to win in all ways, except battery life and replaceability.
What do you mean by replaceability?
Hey there. The concept of this one isn't so much to be a main vacuum. It's designed to replace your dustpan and brush, broom, car and furniture cleaning.
It's been popular for people who want one primarily to keep near the kitchen for everyday mess, and really popular in the Asian market where hard floors are dominant and people do a top-up clean every morning.Main benefit for this one is the omni-directional fluffy which makes cleaning hard floors easier and quicker than the torque heads which have aa closed front to optimise for suction on carpets. The light weight also helps for if you're looking to use it for dusting too.
For anyone who wants a machine to clean rugs or carpeted floors, the V8 will better fill the role. Hope that helps!
(To be clear, I am speaking as an individual and not on behalf of dyson in any way. This is my personal opinion based on experience)
@dmgmelba Do you have any idea why Dyson Micro isn't available in Australia? Or if it will it come later?
@mooboy: I'd love to know myself! Unfortunately work doesn't give frontline staff any insight to frontline staff, and
Personally, I'd imagine with Australia being a smaller market, they may not for now to avoid cannibalising as they have the same bin size, battery life and suction power. I think that they went with the more innovative of the two, as they're both made to be hard floor only vacuums.
That said, I'd imagine that it would hinge largely on the success or failure of current product offerings so who knows.
Personally while I like the format of the Micro, I really like that the Omni has the hot-swappable battery, whereas the Micro is screw in.
@Anthropomorphised: Thanks for the reply. FWIW - if you ever talk to anyone who controls these things - I''m a customer for the micro, but not the omni glide. I have mostly hard floors, and have a v10 which can use on that and the carpeted bedrooms. But would love to add a micro for under the couch and for when wanting to do some light 'dusting'.
I've been addicted to Vacuum Wars recently - and watching the reviews of both led me to think the micro is right for me.
Can anyone recommend a standard bagless vacuum cleaner?
Apparently Kmart bagless one for 95 is actually really good.

Good price, great reviews.
I was going to get a Dyson but can't justify price for my small house.
This or Dreame V11?
Thanks mate. I have been looking for one.
Reviews say its a good buy only if you have floor boards. Doesn’t work well on carpet.
Not designed to work on carpets.
I am guessing other retailers will drop prices few days down the line. Probably phasing out.I think it's very new - so would be surprised if phasing out.
This has been made to replace a broom.
I would recommend price matching on dysons website. Free filter and free delivery included.
