I can finally watch all the bluray that I bought because of OZB

    • You bought blurays without having any way to play them? Must have bee a ripper deal.

      • I know people that have bought blu ray combo packs instead of just DVDs when they only had a dvd player if there was only a couple of bucks difference to future proof their movies.

  • Do you know if this comes with warranty, as it didnt mention in website..

All new electrical products sold within Australia through an Online or bricks and mortar store (not through an agent eg. eBay) must be given a minimum 12 months warranty to comply with Australian trading laws.

JB Hi Fi staff have always been great with me, I've actually returned a faulty blu-ray player before without a receipt after 7 months and they changed it for me.

For a bit of further information - http://www.jbhifi.com.au/documents/corporate/43_2011-02-09_1… - Page 3 has a guide on what they will do for faulty electrical equipment under different time frames and circumstances.

(I'm not employed at JB at all I just really love their stores)

      • Wow good to know …

Which store do you love in particular?

        • Both the Werribee plaza and Hoppers Crossing stores, not generally overcrowded and great staff.

I do agree with you. JBHifi staff is quite good in customer dealing and backing that with good post sale service.( dealt with Liverpool and Blacktown store)
Well dressed HN staff are so worse in customer service. You ask a deal and they will look to you like you asked it for free.

JBhifi staff is casual dresssed, but they do attend people with passion and good deals and tend to satisfy them.

  • You can tell from the limited viewing angle of 170°/160° that this resembles more of a low grade TN monitor than the IPS panels usually used in TVs. Sure the other functions pack a bonus, but expect some serious colour divergence when not viewed straight on.

    • Given the maximum of a 180° viewing angle wouldn't 170°/160° be a very wide viewing angle given that although there is a maximum of 180° it's near on impossible to watch something from almost directly beneath or almost directly side on negating the first and last ~10-15°.

Without seeing this panel in person I can't comment on how it looks, my Samsung 59D6900 has a viewing angle of 178/178 but it gets to the point where I can't read words on the screen so viewing from those angles while theoretically possible is useless.

      • The TN panel will have distorted colours at even a small change in viewing angle, suitable for monitors, whereas a quality IPS panel will remain undistorted for wide angle viewing, suitable for TVs.
