24/27" Monitor Recommendation for student around $300?

Hi OzBargain

I'm a uni student looking for preferably a 24" monitor, 27 can pass if its got a great value. Looking for around $300, the cheaper the better! but I can offer up to 400+ if it's reallyyyyyyy cost-effective
Will be connecting it to a MacBook + switch, mainly used for class, league and the switch.
Any good recommendations? Thanks!

    ViewSonic VX3276-2K is my go-to for budget work use. 32" size is ideal to have 2 full documents side by side and it's IPS. Will play basic games fine too.

      At 27inch, you want 1440p rather than 1080p.

      I purchased a Dell 27inch 1440p for $210 thanks to dealbot here.
