Does anyone know if this model can be reflashed with tasmota etc?

Dunno about this but the Mirabella one from Kmart can and it doesn't have any stupid LEDs on it (except the IR ones of course). Plus it's local.

    • If you use home assistant there is now a Tuya integration which gives native local control, so you don't need to reflash any more just to get it working.

      • So this device to be connected to Tuya app & then to Home assistant?

        • Directly to home assistant, the integration should discover the device on its own, no need for the Tuya cloud.

          • @Astronaut Joe: Ok cool .. and I believe this can be used for any air conditoner. so will give it a go

          • @Astronaut Joe: Hi, I have configured the BW-RC02 to Tuya app on the smartphone .. and added the Tuya integration to HA ..
it shows up 3 light bulbs which I had previously setup, but this IR blaster isn't coming up.. any guide>

FYI, Blitzwolf uses Tuya cloud services, so you may as well just buy a generic Tuya IR unit from Ali unless you really want the LED ring!

  • Noob question. What does IR stand for?

Just casually drop one off at Harvey Norman or The Good Guys…
