Decent price drop for this solid keyboard.
Has PBT caps and white backlight.
Only cherry reds are on discount atm, other switches are at $269.

I bought a Varmilo back before they had much of a presence. Literally had to email a Gmail address to make my order. As long as quality hasn't slipped since then, they are wonderful prebuilt, I rate them higher than Ducky. The keycaps they use are quite nice.
Even though I have a bunch of boards I have built myself, I still use my Varmilo for home.
My friend has one. He considers it an end game keyboard for people who aren't "into" keyboards. Quality is fantastic.
Not sure about this version of the keyboard but Varmilo is one of the best and highly regarded in prebuilt keyboards, they're up there alongside Leopold keyboards. Would rather buy this then any of the gaming brand ones razer, corsair etc.
typing with Varmilo MX brown switch right now
Pro: Quality is very good and sturdy. heavy weight. Nice keycaps.
Cons: not hot swappable, only white backlight, only 2 lighting mode.
You will not regret if this is your first mechanical
Hotswap suck and I hate this is the trend they are going down. I have a YMDK09 which is my only hotswap, wish it wasn't trending this way, I rather solder everything.
Just note, hotswap will wear in time if you are constantly swapping out switches.
So what's your problem with hot-swappable boards?
Varmilo, Leopold are one of the best stock mech keys you should consider. Same money with gaming keyboard but better build, better typing experience. Buy one and the you will see how cheap looking gaming keyboards is.
That is a very attractive keyboard but I’m a Blue switch guy. Darn it!

A different look but the quality is there.
Thanks but I also prefer full-size.
MWAVE has some leopold keyboards which are similar standard to this and more variety of switch types available.

I was initially looking at Leopold on mwave, but most are out stock and they didn't have any with backlight at the price point.
price gone back up $269 this evening
also have a cherry brown varmilo va87m with separate numpad
very very nice keyboard. It's a little loud so I use a Topre at work but it's definitely nicer than my Filco which I still am very fond of
I think I'm in love.
If I hadn't just moved house, I'd be all over this.
Can anyone advise how the white varmillo PBT keycaps wear over time? Do they get quite dirty or is it a matter of rubbing with a bit of isopropyl alcohol or detergent every now and then?
I love the look but it also looks pretty high maintenance.
I need a new keyboard, anyone have any thoughts on this one ?
