Buy why would you want to?
Get access to something bigger/better than where you are locked down. Possibly abandon the family for a few days ! I can see where this fella is heading and I agree.
This is exactly it. Having to stay with the family for 2 months straight is a pain
(5) Taking a holiday is not a reasonable excuse.
I'd guess depends on the reason. For example, if fleeing domestic violence, sounds reasonable. Lots of other reasons it doesn't sound reasonable.
Everyday at the NSW presser, you keep hearing Gladys insists the rules are clear and everybody understands them.
Your answer is contained in Public Health (COVID-19 Additional Restrictions for Delta Outbreak) Order 2021. I believe paragraph 20.

Change the DL address before leaving the old address.
Change DL address to the Airbnb/Hotel address?
Maybe I've missed your joke
Living in short rentals/hotels may not be common in Western countries, but it's pretty common in other parts of the world where accommodation is more affordable.
People that intend to live in a new location for more than 14 days may want to change their address to comply with their State's reporting requirements.
No one say is uncommon, but that doesn’t mean people just change their DL address to a short term accommodation.
You may have confused the 14 days requirements.
