A lot of electricity???
The brochure shows 212KW which i expect is for a year.
Thats about 0.58kw a day or @ $0.22kwh approx 12.8c per day.Although it may be inefficient for its capacity it's not "a lot" is it?
Yes, per year and I confirm your calculations. But I have to be picky with you about the units. It should be kWh throughout your post. kW is a measure of power. kWh is a measure of energy.
Fair point on the kW/kWh, just lazy typing from me.

(energy humour - It's old, but can't expect jokes like this to stay current)
ohm my god…
I'm not sure I have the capacity to resist adding my puns but I could be induced to.
Resistance is futile.
SupaRooter, you have no idea. We're talking around 10 or 11 cents per day here. Even though the rating may seem bad, for something this size, it pale's into insignificance.
Its a Bar Fridge
Bar Fridge = Power usage. Name another bar Fridge that has super high energy efficiency, then your comment has meaning.
Prima PBF50 66L Bar Fridge 2/5 stars apparently but that's as good as your going to get with the new star rating for this fridge size.

"environmentally friendly"
Bohoo. Get a life.Small fridges always have terrible star ratings.
To get a better star rating they'd need thicker insulation, which means either the unit itself has to be bigger, or you get even less space inside.
Not saying that 1.5 stars on this is "good", but make sure you compare it against other bar fridges rather than considering the rating in isolation.
For a size fridge that small, 1.5 stars wouldn't make much difference. I think, I could be wrong though… I am sure I'll be corrected by an expert on these matters.
It's tiny. I was going to get one for the workshop but there would only be enough room for a couple of beers!
Hmmm might be a safety issue here :)
You mean brawls over who gets the beer?
Exactly! You struggle to fit a slab in here!
And because it's so small it has to be cans… no crown or corona!Crown or Corona in a Workshop!!! - Mate you've got dibs on yourself :)
2 Darwin stubbies should be suitable per day
I hope they can hand me back the 1 cent once I handed to them the $100 bill. Otherwise I will take legal action for discriminating me from using cash :).
It's a retail store, so cash payment will get rounded up to $100 at the till. Where have you been since 1c coins were abolished? You could pay by card but there is a surcharge.
How can they charged more than the advertised price?
I see you don't understand the legislation that allows rounding amounts to the nearest 5c for cash payments.
where have you been for the last 20 years? 1 and 2c coins were removed from circulation in 1992..
I'd be surprised if this kid is even 20 years old.
How do I actually buy from Aldi? Sorry, never tried Aldi.
Go to an Aldi supermarket. If there are none in your area, too bad. It's not an Internet order business.
Don't bother as by there time you are there, it is all sold out.
Yeah, they probably heard you were coming and wanted the 1c change. :P
get to the store 2 minutes before opening on the day the item goes on sale, or if you're really desperate for it, 15 minutes before opening. You'll have no problem getting the item you want.
why is it everytime i put forward a valid negitive all you 2 yr olds neg me….im outta here kidies
I object to that, I'm not that ancient, I'm only 1 yr old. :)
Maybe if you showed some calculations next time and asked people if this was worth $43 electricity per year?
fuuuu. just bought one at kmart yesterday for $169, it was 112L though. :)
