Project Cars 3 received mixed reviews on release so I have held off until the deluxe edition goes on a decent special.

I would be interested to see what the OZB community think of this game if they own it/have played it.

I really enjoyed PCARS 1 and 2 so was disappointed when they announced the change of direction that they went with i.e. more arcade.

I played this for half an hour and don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a video game in all my life. Just play the second one. 3 is just an embarrassment.

I didn't bother following it after I heard about the change in direction, is it really an arcade game now. Where would you place it on a scale of NFS, Forza Horizon, Forza, Gran Turismo, Assetto Corsa, iRacing?

      • I'd like to know the answer to the above too..

Also, would any of these games be able to be played on a Carbon X1 laptop? I don't have an xbox and don't particularly want to buy one.

      • It's an 'alright' game if you put it in the category of NFS, Forza and GRID.

Definitely not Project Cars 2, iracing or AC.

Had they simply called called it Project Cars Horizon, then it probably wouldn't have gotten as much flak as it did.

It's definitely not an evolution of PC2.

I'd maybe compare it to GRID in terms of how it feels to play (it's still much worse though). I'd be hesitant comparing it to NFS because NFS at least has some personality. It's just… boring. Really, really, boring and uninspired. The problem is they sell it as an arcade racing game but it doesn't play like an arcade racer. It feels like a sim that was turned down to super easy mode. The presentation is also just really drab.

  • Oh wow, its out!

Yeah heard they changed the direction to be more arcade and appeal to the masses?

    • defo more arcadey than the previous

  • CDKEYS has PC version of Project Cars 3 standard edition for AU$24.58 or Deluxe Edition for $38.93. Is CDKEYS legit?
CDKEYS sell legit software but have been known to sell grey market software, as in buy the software from poorer
countries such as India Brazil etc and sell it globally. I've bought software before from CDKEYS without issue.

Yep very reputable site, I've bought many games for both PC and Xbox One off there before
