In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

    Run time ‏ : ‎ 4 hours and 2 minutes

Wow. Probably one to wait for the 4K version to be discounted for the best visual quality.

    • +2

Yeah, the 4K has just dropped from $35 to $25, but I’m waiting for it to get under $20…

  • Do people rate this over the Wheedon version?

    • +20

This is universally considered the superior version.

      • I’ve not seen either, just curious

      • +1

It would have to be simply with double the run time.

Wheedon's version gets a lot of shit but he was in a rock and a hard place. Having to make it "more Marvel", cut it down under 2 hours from a 4 hour movie and get a completed film with CGI in 6 months.

I'm going to wait until the 4K is on the cheap before jumping onto it.

It's a billion times better. Visuals are enhanced like ten fold, plot makes sense, broken into chapters to make the viewing easier and it's a totally different film when you look at the new characters. It also gives us scope for many sequels and prequels!

    • -1

Its better for sure but it is boring and the excess of slow-mo shots doesnt help

    • it's better but theres a lot of stuff in the Whedon cut that I liked, mostly the jokes. The throwback to "do you bleed" might have been my favorite part in either version.

  • Is there a version that contains the normal version, then the zack version then the grey version?

    • I haven’t seen any physical releases that include the Grey version unfortunately.

      • Ok thanking you

  • +2

Unpopular opinion: this movie was pretty bad. I mean the initial Whedon cut was horrible, but this movie is not good cinema. Especially when you consider it came after the amazing Dark Knight Trilogy.

    • -6

The Dark Knight didn't have any super powers!

It was all about Batman which was a let down in that aspect. The Dark Knight was about the human struggle in one tiny city. This film is about the fate of the universe!

      • +1

Raising the stakes doesn't automatically make it better. If it did then each new Fast and Furious movie should be better than the last

        • -6

No, I'm saying they're kinda different genres. One is a thriller of sorts and the other is fantasy and science fiction.

I prefer the Justice League over the Dark Knight trilogy because I got bored of the overacting and talking for hours on end in the Dark Knight. The Christian Bale Batman was also very PG and kinda absurd. Goes through the entire films without killing anyone because of his bs moral code despite acting like a lawless vigilante.

    • +1

Well none of the new DC movies can compare to the Dark Knight Trilogy. Curious what you consider good cinema?

  • +1

this movie is good, not great, not bad but alot better than the original cut(also better than BvS and man of steel), but it is also extremely zack snyder if u don't like watchmen/ 300 i cant see u liking this any more than those.

    • +1

I got the reference, but I think it's supposed to be "not great, not terrible" 😆

      • +1

oh 3.6 roentgen right haha, wonder if that was subconscious thing

        • +1

          It's not 3 roentgen, it's 15000!

    • +1

      good, not great, not bad

Not much of an endorsement for 4 hour runtime.

  • Spoiler alert in the description lol

  • Plot hole: How Did Darkseid Forget Where The Anti-Life Equation Was?

    • Kept it with the car keys?

    • Snyder explained the villain's apparent forgetfulness on Vero: "He almost died when he returned to [Apokolips, Darkseid's planet] he was in a fight for power and much time passed before he was in a position of power again and by then all who had been with him had been Slayed."

I love Snyder but damn, this is a stretch.

      • nah that's entirely fair. Thousands of years in the past, I think it's okay that he doesn't remember the specific planet.

  • <3 this movie. Just wish they would continue the story. I want to see Darkseid using "the old ways" :)

Thanks OP! Bought the Blu Ray for $12.50 :)
