When's the expiry please? Had a quick look but no dates listed. How do we find expiry dates for similar products when buying health goods / foods online?

  • Most people not going to need this.
    No outdoors this year!

    • +3

Yup. People should start posting vitamin D deals!

      • +1

        Yes.

All good and outdoors in QLD! We don't have LNP screwing things up

Spray-on sunscreens won't put on enough product to give you anywhere near the protection you need.

  • +2

fantastic product as a temporary children/dog/salesmen repellent

as a sunscreen no, you need the cream stuff, trust me

    get 1L lotion stuff instead

    (edit…links posted above in reply)

  • Have to agree with others- you need proper coverage no matter what you use. generally the amount people apply with spray on is insufficient for protection.
I suggest going for the old school bottle or pump top.

  • Scientists petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to remove from sale all sunscreens containing the active ingredient octocrylene. Products made with the chemical may contain benzophenone, a suspected carcinogen that also can interfere with key hormones and reproductive organs

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-09/sunscreen…

    • Does the Nivea sunscreen have the cancer causing chemical?

  • You obviously dont live in Melbourne….

yeah. I was watching Magpies getting their asses handed back to them by Lions in Brisbane and I couldn't help noticing how pale and almost unhealthy Pies look compared to tan and fit brizzy boyz

oh well, uphold the Magpies name they did, so go Pies regardless

      • You realise that the tanned ones are the unhealthy ones, right?

well I guess the diet of well done rump and Kilkenny doesn't do one any good either

life is a health condition in itself come to think of it

it's just some look better than others while enduring it haha

            @shabaka: Utter stupidity

Whats with everyone saying "don't buy this, you need a lotion one - not a misting one"?

This is literally a pump-squirt bottle of lotion sunscreen.

  • +2

For all the people who say mists don't work - I burn very easily and have used this over the years on and off and it works really well. I do make sure to put a decent amount on though.

It was recently recalled, but I will probably get one from the new batch.

    • +1

Yeah same, I've used mist ones and they work fine.

    • I've used Sun Bum brand spray previously by its self or with their lotion, and agree- works great.
I apply very liberally… but using the mist with a lotion helps to get a good even spread too.

  • Thanks OP, I ended up snagging 2. Great price for Australian made SPF50+ sunscreen.

    • Cancer Council and that one from City Beach are the best. This NIvea one is greasy and I am guilty of slapping it on when I tan in my backyard pool lol

  • How does this compare to the colesworth 50+ versions?

  • showing at $20.99 now
