Australian Flag Car Flags $0.99 @ Woolworths, Coburg

30

Woolworths in Coburg has about 30 packets of Aussie flag car flags reduced from $4.95/pair to $0.99/pair. They're on the clearance rack at the rear right corner of the store.

I don't have a pic, but they look like this - http://www.souvenirsaustralia.com/category227_1.htm - and are 28 x 45cm.

  • It's un-Australian not to + these Aussie Flags**

    **made in PRC

  • very tempting to wave this flag in Coburg :)

  • excellent, something to aim at when the boy racers are passing by.
Woolies should have stocked the Italian & Turkish flags, they might have actually sold some.

    • they did, but they have all sold out, only Ausie flags left, no buyers :(

  • Week before 26 Jan, BWS were giving these away free with purchase.

Assuming you don't have a DeLorean handy, this is still a discounted price. ;-)

Just pointing out - not much of a deal. I'll wait for next Jan 26 give aways.
Saving my 99c to pay for the DeLorean.

        • If, after you buy the DeLorean, you are having second thoughts, you can always convert it into a Time Machine and go back in time - then you would have a DeLorean Tie Machine to stick your crappy sticker to!

    Support Australia, buy Chinese?

    • +1

Yeah, send these flags back to where they came from. :)

      • Umm, the actual materials itself are probably shipped from australia :) Australia's terms of trade are of record high due to shipping stuff to china, what goes around comes around haha

        • Ah, I see you prefer the Aussie steel flags!

      • +1

You'd have to cut out a quarter of it and send it back to Britain. Hmm, but the material is Chinese?! Ow, this is all too hard. :) :)

Awesome! # buys 2, fixes to each side of ute, rips of t shirt to show southern cross tat on chest, grabs large aussie flag, drapes around neck, drives to Manly to buy VB and yell f.off we're full to tourists #

      http://www.news.uwa.edu.au/201201234297/research/study-shows…

"Professor Fozdar said 43 per cent of those with car flags said they believed the now-abandoned White Australia Policy had saved Australia from many problems experienced by other countries, while only 25 per cent without flags agreed."

…and yet the idiots holding the flags are supporting a huge Chinese industry - the manufacture/export and inport of Australian-Nationalist branded novelty items.

Way to support your country, assholes.

I wrap myself snug in a hand-sewn flag from the 1950's or 60's. It still smells of Menzies. (Free - found it in a clean up & kept it.)

          1) You don't know if all the flags those people carry are chinese made
          2) Why someone showing his national flag is an idiot???
          3) assholes? In your very short and very silly comment you used those words way too much
          4) You may not like it, but even the people critisized in the study arw right. Look at France or Germany (if you are smart enough to read). That's nothing racist.
          5) Any "study" based on a sample of few hundreds people is flawed.

      • Doesn't Gillard drive around with flags on her limo?

        • Former pm, come Monday :p

Ps: she is the bogan pm

  • Bogdan PM? Should I invite her down to Manly while I'm there? Oi oi oi!

  • Heh. I got them for 40c at Woolworths Tuggeranong, ACT. :P

    • Interesting to see the base price of yours ($3.49) is also cheaper than the base price of the ones I posted ($4.95).
