Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience with "cheaper" chargers that would be appropriate for the eneloops we have all bought? I dont want/need a charger that makes coffee. Are there any cheap models that have reasonable specs?
Any advice would be appreciated. :)

Grab any cheap NiMH charger if you see a deal. Eneloop, Varta, Duracell, Energizer, Eveready if you insist on going on the cheap.
Alternatively you can buy a proper charger that can trickle charge (extend battery life and no. of recharges), overcharge protect, quick charge and individual battery charge.

A "cheap" charger that causes your batteries to have shortened lives is not what you want. There is a cheaper La Crosse charger than the one linked above:

Otherwise I quite like the Maha/Powerex ones.

oh, and my only real requirements is it charges AA/AAAs and it doesn't burn the house down
