.These are great, I have two. Mounted them on 2m of 50mm PVC pipe which sleeved a star picket for instant lightpole.

Only gripe is that it would be good if one could adjust the timer as it would be good to have them on for longer

    • Not enough juice to have them on much longer.
I've got a similar light with a 10W panel and two 3000mAh 18650s and I'm very happy with that.

      • Care to share which one you got?
        Thanks in advance.

      • +8

        Please share!
I just think there are no good quality solar lights around, usually they only last for 6 months if you are lucky… Then they all become landfill!

  • Not sure if I need one, but I'm gonna find out!

  • +3

Sorry, but at roughly 5Wh per day, it's not going to illuminate for long.

It takes two and a half days to charge the 18650 and that's if the lights are off the whole time.

    • depends how much illumination you need and for how long. If you just need an hour or two of light by the back yard or pool then this should do the trick

  • very cheap

  • I wonder if Pam ever got a sensor for her place

    • Who is Pam?

      • +1

Dauber. She could never find Mork when she needed him…

  • Thanks bought 4, I'm assuming these are decent vs generic ebay ones

  • +1

    Brilliant, now my neighbours will have more lights to shine at my house at night ;-;

  • Coupon dropped the price from $38.17 to $34.17.
Interestingly it says the coupon reduced the price by $22.31, how can I resist..

    • I used the OPs coupon code and unticked the shipping insurance option to bring it down to $32.94 AUD.

  • is it possible to plug the light into the powerline, without solar panel?

  • +2

    A$32.57 for 450 lumen…pass
cheaper solar sensor options on ebay with better output

    • Any example?

      • +5

look up 120 led solar light on ebay…
        eg. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/234072115325?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&…
the newer version have 2x18650 battery packs in them and put out a decent amount of light. i have 5 all work well and have lasted 4+ years with only one failing

        • +1

          Ip44 is good enough?

Any info/link for the newer version?

        • +1

Having the solar panel separate is a major advantage imo. Often I need a light in places that are shaded and don't get that much sun.

  • Looks like the deal is closed, getting this error when added the coupon "This coupon can only be used 100 times."

    • There's another coupon BG8fcb32 although slightly more expensive $24.99.

  • for those who have this model, how long have you had it? do these last 1-2 years? or 6-9 months?

  • Ordered 2 of these a few weeks ago, and the package just arrived.

When I opened both the boxes, I was dissapointed to find that both units had panels with broken joints. Looking at the 1 star reviews on the site, it looks like I'm not the first to experience this.

Ive created a dispute with the seller, with pictures and videos.

Has anyone else who ordered these received theirs yet?

    • +1

I received the 1 that I ordered with the same issue, broken at the joint. I started a chat and was offered 20% discount and to keep the item which I declined. I was then offered 50% discount and to keep the item.

      • So they offered you a 50% refund? Did you accept it?

Then again, is there any point keeping the lights? Is there any way to fix the joint?

        • +1

Yes I accepted the refund as I couldn’t be bothered to send it back to them. I have fixed mine and glued it back together. IMO I should have ordered more as I am really happy with the sensor and how bright the light is.

          • +1

@gambino: Mine arrived today. Has a broken joint. Will have to lodge a dispute

    • +1

I have exactly same issue as yours. I ordered two and both of them have one joint broken.

    • +1

Ordered 4 and 2 of them are broken.

  • +2

I received my order and two joints had cracks in the plastic also. Nothing major but rain will get in and might damage the wires.

I sent photos to the dispute department in the Banggood app asking for a replacement but they offered a full refund instead saying the seller is out of stock.

I’ll try to repair with glue as I want to use it since the foldable LED lights are blindingly bright and suit my outdoor needs perfectly of deterring intruders.

Banggood are a bunch of Muppets. I sent photos and a video of the broken arm and they take their time to respond. Now they want a photo of the barcode and the packaging that came with the parcel. I had to retrieve the outer packaging from the rubbish bin. I am giving them time then I will lodge a paypal dispute

      • +1

Yeh they wanted photos of the packaging with the shipping barcode too. They asked for a video proving that the light doesn't work but I just told them to refer back to the photos again showing damages and that although the light works, my concern was rain getting inside the joints and that I cannot send them a video proving that rain gets inside until it rains. They offered the refund afterwards and it's back in my account today.

        • These muppets keep asking me for proof of damage, and pictures of the packaging, even after sending them a dozen photos and a video! They actually asked me if I can still use the light, and if so, they will close the dispute!!

Theyre dragging their heels with my dispute. I will give them another day or two, and then open up a Paypal dispute

          • +1

@shakir99: They said the same. They are just following a script it seems.

So I sent them photos with markup drawing on them circling and pointing to the damages. I said the light turns on, but it’s an outdoor solar light so if it rains then the wires will get damaged inside the joints and fail; so no it will not “work” as advertised.

I guess it depends on who you’re talking to on the dispute. Good luck and keep sticking to your guns but be polite in your response to get a better outcome for you.

            • +1

@PoorFromOzBargains: They replied and offered to send a replacement. I said yes. Hopefully they ship it soon.

              • @jamba: I wanted a replacement too but they probably thought it was all too much trouble so they just said "seller is out of stock so will you accept a refund?". If the second one you receive is a dud then definitely insist on a refund. Then you'll have two LED lights with minor defects which you can glue back together to keep it waterproof :)

            • @PoorFromOzBargains: haha ive definitely crossed my politeness threshold with whoever Im speaking with. They just sent the "please send photos of packaging and SKU" message again, and I flipped! haha

  • My unit seems not turning on with movement detection. Any trick? I thought just need to push button at the back to choose lighting mode and it would work. Does it need to be in very dark scene? Thanks

    • There's three modes (1. Stay off then turn on full strength with motion, 2. Keep on permanently with dim light then turn on full strength with motion, 3. Turn on full strength permanently).

Just press the same button to cycle through each mode. They motion activation sensor only works when it's dark.
