AMA: I Just Bought a Redmi Note 10 Pro

My Redmi Note 10 Pro arrived this week!

It was a real toss up between it and the poco x3 pro but went with Redmi note because AMOLED
and better cameras.

A few observations so far:

Miui: have not seen any ads since I set it up.
Miui 12.5 update was nice and not glitchy.

Performance: I don't know why people bag it. $350 for Snapdragon 732g, which is in pixel 4a performance territory. Performance is snappy.

Cameras: GCAM makes a huge difference!
Main camera was slightly disappointing than expectations, but ultrawide, selfie and macro way better than expected.

Signal: better than my pixel 2.

Speakers: great speakerphone,
For music and video loud but not super crisp

      Pixel 2 main camera is better.

      But nice to have ultrawide and macro on Redmi.
      Selfie on par.

      I think 108mp not binned to 12 will be interesting.

      Android one and 5g sounds awesome on the Nokia.

      But Redmi 106 dxo mark > 86 dxo mark Nokia
      Redmi has larger battery and 120hz refresh rate

      Banggood. They used Aramex/Fastway for Australia.
      Came within 2 and a half weeks

        Which part of Australia? Aramex to Wa seems to be stuck sorting in Sydney (Monday is 25 business days!)

      GCAM 7 I think. I can't remember which one I downloaded. What are you using? Can you get a full 108mp in GCAM? My main camera seems a little trainer than expected but the others are great

        I downloaded 8.1 a couple of days ago. but I think I saw somewhere that one of the 7 versions might be better.

            @cheapjack: Not yet, but hoping there will be soon. Mixed results for me so far. Gcam better in some situations, stock app in others.

      Pixel 2 main camera is a little prettier. Ultrawide and selfie on Redmi is nicer though. And macro is surprisingly detailed too. It's 5mp as opposed to 2mp

      Yeah I heard they are good. But honestly, I haven't seen a single ad since I got this thing. I think the ad thing is more conjecture than actually real
