How does this compare to the Xiaomi version? And is it really that much better than a desk lamp?

xiaomi much better but price also higher around aud 50 i think? check the comparison review on youtube.
note: the xiaomi model is with mijia brand

      • Great thanks. I assume the order is Xiaomi > BlitzWolf > Baseup?

        • Best to worst:

          BenQ > Quntis > Yeelight > Baseus > Xiaomi > Blitzwolf

You really do get what you pay for.

  • Does it fit well with thin bezel monitor? Like the Dell S2721N?

Maybe this is good for bed head reading light?

    • That's not a bad thought, however it might really hurt your eyes if your facing it.

  • Thanks OP! Just placed an order… but forgot to use the code! Doh!

Alternatively, when I make mistakes from negligence(forgetting to use the code or even buying a cashrewards deal and not activating cashrewards), message them immediately in confusion about it being applied when you were checking out, but seemed to have been removed once you finalized your purchase. Never hurts to suggest that it might have been a problem with the website, followed up by a potential cache problem with the browser.

@Beyond: Spoken like a true OzBargainer - you've covered confusion, checkout problem, website issues and cache… Well played sir :p

  • Are these adjustable (rotation angle)? I have vertically stacked monitors and plan to put this on the top monitor which is angled downwards slightly.

    • Yes can be rotated up to 40°

  • Anyone received yet? Mines been "Onboard ready for delivery" with PFL since yesterday morning…

  • Banggood is scambags, took a deposit for one of the deals, never communicated back to pay the rest and now saying sale is ended and deposit is not refundable. Avoid.

Just a bit of feedback for anyone interested.

As far as the light itself goes, pretty happy with it. Front light bright enough for me, and the 3 colour temps should be enough to keep everyone happy (I prefer the mix 4500k myself). The rear light is not too bad, also dimmable and temp adjustable, fairly narrow but diffused enough. The angle adjustment seems to be slightly more back towards the monitor than forwards which seems kind of pointless. Would be good to have a little more room to angle forwards, as it's limited by the USB connector on the back.

It returns your last setting as soon as it receives power, whether you disconnected the USB or turned off with the button (I'm powering via the monitor USB ports so it always turns on when the monitor turns on).

For me the only issue is the mount. I'm using on a Dell U2412M, which has a rather curved back. The mount isn't grippy enough/has too much spring tension for the curve so slides up the back leaving the light angled back at the monitor. I'm pretty sure removing the spring would fix this, just letting gravity do the work… if I can just work out how to open the damn thing without destroying it. Either that or have to 3D print something to suit better.
