Dyson dropped the price of their portable air purifier from $499 to $324 - two colours available - I linked to Silver but the other option is Gunmetal:

  Didn't they test and like $20 k-mart fans were just as good if not better?

  My understanding is heating good cooling bad for Dyson.

    Sounds about right.

    If it's not an actual aircon like a split system, then cooling = 'throwing ambient air at you'
