This is ozbargain! Don't post on ozbargain if you can't take the competition!

  • the postage coming up as $2.95 not $2?

    • I get this too on the desktop RAM - $2.95 postage. The SODIMM postage is coming up correctly at $0.95.

      Still a pretty good deal.

Nice, right after I purchased from NetPlus

  • +1

It doesn't seem that you will deliver to my University address (LPO Box). :(

What courier do you guys use?

    • +2

These are sent by Auspost, so add the Po box no problems :)

      • Excellent!

        Just bought 2. :3

  • +2

ahh!.. can we cancel netplus order? :|

    • +13

Don't do that - Netplus is a great supporter of the pc community. Why would you go through the effort of cancelling an order just to save a dollar or two? Really…

    • +18

Not a problem if you wish to cancel - please email us your order reference and request for it to be cancelled.

      • +8

        Great Customer Service!

      • +8

        that ok,

        going to keep my order,

      • +9

Mate that is fantastic customer service, allowing us to cancel. Because you came up with the deal first and for saying we can cancel I'm keeping my order with you guys (it's only $2 anyway).
        Keep the deals coming!

I'm trying to figure out if it is worth me adding another 4GB… everything seems to work fine as it is. hrmm…

I dont think Ozb members will bite on that laptop. Old cpu, old model, just old. There has been HP lappies with new I7 and top of the line graphics going for around the same price.

        $600 and someone might bite.

  • +4

Megabuy (and NetPlus), great deal! Unfortunately looking for a DDR2 RAM, any chance of getting that at a similar price? :)

    • +3

      +1 to this. Preferably a 2x2G kit!

    • I too would be interested in getting some desktop DDR2.

  • +13

this is ridiculous, if wasnt netplus, you think megabuy would even do this deal for anyone? as if cancel the order from netplus. i would only choose megabuy if netplus was out of stock for this deal. learn to appreciate!

    • +1

However, the lack of a privacy policy on NetPlus's site meant that I was unable to purchase from them.

  • Top link is coming up as sold out?

Edit: Put my order in anyways, paid via paypal, so Megabuy you have 45 days to cough the sticks up. We will see if this ends better then the microserver fiasco of last year

  • Out of stock on the desktop RAM. Any chance of a deal on a low profile 2x4G kit? Need RAM for a HP MicroServer

    • +1

These sticks will fit the microserver (i have some of these exact sticks already in mine)

  • +3

Is there any chance you could do a similar deal on some DDR2?
    You suggest it…

  • +5

    Hi Megabuy,

Fancy to get me a good deal on this? The shipping is a killer…

    http://www.megabuy.com.au/corsair-2gb-value-select-ddr2-667m…

    cheers!

    • +1

Same here. Would appreciate if MegaBuy could do a good deal on this too

  • You should also change description from "Hi Guys," to: "Hi Guys and girl,"

Yes hi ladies and gentle germs, boys and girls, distinguished members of the forum.

  • Hi

    Where do I look on your site for RAM for my HP dv-7 2112TX lappie? Uses this; RAM - DDR2-800 / PC2-6400 • CL6 • 1.8V • 16-chip

    I have 4Gb (2 x 2), I want 8Gb…

    Can u help?

  • +2

How about a deal on some microservers while you're in festive mood

  • i have already bought the same model of ram through yesterday's post..

  • +3

Purchased 1x4GB stick, just for the sake of it lol.

Good to see PC shops on OzBargain.

  • Note 2.5% minimum credit card fee.
I have also found Megabuy VERY slow to ship.
I placed an order last Friday for 2 items, both with 5+ in stock, ship in 1 delivery.
Various emails every couple of days & finally 1 suppoisedly shipped today (nearly a week later!) & no indication of when the other will ship. Certainly expect better considering how high their freights charges are in general (although the delivery cost on this deal is obviously very good).
Lets see how long this one takes.

    • Agreed. You may also be selected to have your credit card verified, which can take a week or so (they deposit cash in to your account, you have to wait for it to appear in your statement, then verify with them… really too much effort for a few $ saving).

      Proceed with caution: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/895633

Fortunately it's only ram, so for most people it does not matter if it takes a few weeks/months to arrive. NetPlus has a cleaner reputation so I'd recommend their deal over this from personal experience.

  • +4

Feel sorry for Netplus…Megabuy seem to be a bit dodgy.

If you take the time to read it all you will find that stumo's summary is not exactly accurate.

If something bothers me it is if false information getting perpetuated and cemented ruining someone's reputation. Enough of that happening in federal politics, let's not do it here too…

  • deal us a netbook deal :)
    will buy today ..

  • Great price, would have bought it in a flash had I not already bought a new PC with 4GB of RAM.

  • Hey Guys,

As someone who has not been in this space for a while, would these be good for a 27" iMac 2.66mHz i5? I currently have 4 x 2GB.

If they aren't, could you give any suggestions of good deals.

Sorry for the n00bness and thanks in advance.

if msy working for you then drive down there!

  • How safe is the package or postage method? Can you put fragile on it?

I have had packages from Aust Post that have been crushed. It will be difficult to tell if it has been damaged prior to opening it…

The Kingston RAM usually only has a plastic cover… It's weak… When it is shipped to the shops, it is usually in a large cardboard box. Will we be getting the same treatment?

    • +1

Auspost do not have a fragile service, i will daresay they will be sent as large letters, so hopefully they have put a cardboard backing in to prevent them being fed into the machine sorters.

      • x_X! Dang. Oh well.

  • +1

    Thanks for the bargain!

  • MegaBuy, regardless of the Neg comments or general off-topic bargain askers, you've done a great job of keeping up with the demand and even if it takes a few extra days for orders to be shipped out, I'm sure there are heaps of us impressed with your appearance here along in this thread. Hard to keep up with prices with there are so many other competitors, so kudos to you and your staff.

  • +1

Guys what is the code to get 0.95 shipping on the standard RAM not laptop RAM?

  • rep can you pls revise the shipping fee for the DIMM one to $2.95 in the description? A few comments for these already.

    • +1

      Hi,

Apoligies, this is fixed, slight glitch with the website, not sure why.

Will happily reimburse anyone who has paid extra shipping.

  • surely people have had enough of Megabuy's antics..

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1557385&p…

Read these. and then decide whether you want to purcahse from them…

    • Thats why you pay via paypal, if nothing is recieved by the 44th day, raise a dispute and get your dollars back. But yes Megabuy is the scum of the internet shopping world currently, they certainly dont hold much respect especially after the microserver incidents.

  • I am also coming across the shipping as 2.95$ instead of 0.95$. Are we doing something wrong here or has the price gone up slightly?
