Are these worth the price? $2-3 a box from Asian grocers (not made in Japan though).

Asian grocers are not that nice and turn hard after a while

Love seeing interesting Amazon pantry finds on Ozbargain, they do have some good stuff/deals within their range. Seems expensive though, and 1-2 month wait.

  • Random af, got some. Thx

    Product of Japan

I smell BS. Couldn't find any info about "kido", plus these letter would be pronounced as 'kito' in japanese.

As a mochi fan myself, I'm not sure that these are a bargain to be honest. It appears to be just standard price.

They are $6 in the Brisbane City store I go to.

    • Which store would that be if I may ask?

I have a question about mochi actually, I was wondering if freshly made mochi vs frozen and shipped to Aus makes a difference? I had some in Taiwan a few years back and it was actually mindblowingly good, and nothing I've bought in Aus has come close. They all taste a bit bland and feel like they've been sitting in the fridge for too long. Is my hunch correct or is it just a question of who made them?

      • In most cases the difference would be unnoticeable. The types they do for frozen are the ones that freezes well, for example you wouldn't find frozen strawberry daifuku that's like the fresh one you buy from Akebono.

        • I see, so it's mostly just down to the quality of the manufacturer then

    • It's definitely not lmao. People here buy literally anything that gets posted.

  • I've had these on order since 18th July! When I purchased them they were actually a preorder for something like 25th July

    • Will be delivered within 3 months, starving already :) jokes

  • got cheap AU adapter. wondering what it is for.

  • Most flavours back in stock. Looking at almost a month for delivery though.
