    Just kidding. Such a great brewery I have been there twice now and will be back after lockdown. Also purchased the Peaches and oat beer. I guess I will have to buy this as well, such a great deal.

          To be fair, I still think it's a valid comment… Extra material, labour and overheads aside for a small business - $130 per carton is quite expensive…. And is starting to move into the "aspirational" or "luxury" pricing range that we have seen with wine for a long, long while.

          $80 to $100 for a box of craft beer seems about right to me, in comparison to $40 to $60 for mass produced booze. But that's just my opinion!

            @clandestino: Unfortunately you don't get economy of scale on small batch, once off stuff and tend to have a higher ABV (more tax). Ingredients are expensive :(

            @clandestino: Not trying to start an argument. Each to their own. I believe it's worth it. I usually buy a really small-batch craft beer for that price and have a cheaper beer in the fridge or I will brew my own beer. It's about treating yourself. I also think if you are going to the pub you are lucky to find a schooner of craft beer for under $8. So why not support a local business, even buying this at full price you paying $3.10 for a can. at $2.10 a can, this is a steal!
            If you think it's a high price then you are allowed to buy cheaper brands. Or you can have a go at brewing your own and see what the cost is to brew a premium beer and then think about all of the costs you would pay in material, labour and overheads.

            You are saying $130 for a case of premium wine is expensive. $130/12 is $10.83… I would say that is a bargain for a premium bottle!

      How good is Brookvale now? There's half a dozen local breweries there, I'm hoping to 'take my dog for walk' on the weekend and do a bit of a takeaway pub crawl :)

        Have done this twice now, it's so good. Every beer drinker in Sydney should head to Brookvale and go on a crawl after lockdowns have finished.

        Subjective and a bit of an unfair comparison. Urquell is still regarded as one of the best Czech pilsners around, not many brewers worth their salt would be claiming theirs can knock it off that pedestal.

    Can't speak for these beers as I haven't tried them, but this is about as good of a deal as you can get from an independent craft brewer. If I hadn't just had a birthday and been gifted about 2 months worth of grog I'd be giving this a shot.
