    For kids????

more like for the bin by looking at those reviews.

Yeah read the reviews. Apparently refills are pretty pricey. There’s a pic of a bridge that was made and probably cost a small fortune to make in reality.

"when child labour meets 3d printing!"

The PLA plastics are pretty expensive. $14 a pack containing 25 strands from Harvey Norman.

So a suspension bridge construction of this size will hit your wallet pretty hard.

I've no 3d printing knowledge but looks like normal 3d printing filaments are usually bought by the kilogram (usually $20~30 per KG)

    • I wouldn't want my kids to be printing ABS as well …

      • Cancer?

      • +1

The ABS is for the 3Doodler Create; a different 3D printing pen.

The 3Doodler Start only prints PCL, which has a very low melting point (60C), hence why it's considered safe for kids.

    Terrible value.

I bought a 3d printing pen for about $20 delivered from.crazysales ages ago. Came with about a dozen or so reels of filament in PLA and PCA. Pen can do abs too but didn't come with abs filament.

  • I have the original from the kickstarter campaign. It never lived up to the hype. I've kept an eye on it over the years. Rather than investing the product, it looks like most of the money is going into marketing.

  • The only thing this is good for is filling in small gaps in actual 3D prints.

Sports power Geelong still has some similar sale products for $4.50 and $8.99 so that might be a better value alternative?

Not sure if they're the same in terms of quality but wouldn't hurt too much.
