  • Any good for gaming?

    • Hmm

    • Should be fine for general gaming

      • lol… as opposed to?

        • Idk, Minecraft maybe?

  • +1

    Wow what a price.

  • +30

    Love the 6th picture

    "somehow the rotation"

It's like the marketers don't even know how their product works, somehow it rotates lol

    • +9

you mean they don’t know to translate to english…support the hanging wall!

      • +5

        "support the hanging wall!"

        Perfect Chinglish.

Anyone have this monitor? Is it any good?

    • +1

Have another model of them. They are solid TV manufacturer but new to monitor. However, the quality is solid.

  • Forced express shipping kinda hurts :/

  • +2

Any deals for the bigger displays OP? Size matters :D

    eg:
    https://www.banggood.com/HKC-GX329QN-Curved-Gaming-Monitor-3…

    • +2

Will also jump on a 32"+ deal

      • I saw there was a group buy option that brought it down to $343. U would happen to be in Melb ??

        • Where's the group buy option? Would bite @ $343 and yes happen to be in melb.

          • @xeri: Click into the link a couple of posts above … it will bring you to the 32” version and then half way down the page it’s got group buy.

When I put in some details it added freight and insurance which came to about $370 (I want 3) per monitor.

Still a good price but I need to think about it more before committing. If we can get the price down with more people purchasing then this will def sway my decision.

  • I dont know how you got the AU230 delivered. When i got to checkout it states US220 with coupon + US50 for express shipping, brings total to AU380.

    • Did you try the coupon code that was listed?

      • +1

        Yeah using BGac76dd, stated above.

Doesnt seem to allow me to have free shipping

    • +3

Dont know what changed, but i relogged back into my banggood account and added it to cart again. For some reason i am now able to choose normal shipping. I got the price as indicated.

  • +1

Couldn't find anywhere to input code. Clearly not smart enough to buy this monitor. Thanks anyways, OP.

    • +2

Checkout page, top right "do you have any coupons" , if its grayed out, make sure your address is correct, king.

      • +1

Thanks heaps. Fixing the address just made it reappear.

        • Wallah…

          :)

          • +1

@OzBragain: You used the wrong word.

            Spelled it right though ;)

    • +1

when you got into checkout there should be a few areas on the right hand side under a 'discount' box. Should have Coupons, Points, and allowance, you can straight plop the code into Coupons.

    • Apply coupon at checkout - Top right corner, Under 'Discounts' then click on the drop down menu 'Coupons' see here

  • Just bought one. Thanks OP. Can confirm total price $242.88 with shipping insurance. When selecting free delivery for Merrylands NSW.

    • Yea the boys

  • Thanks op, bought one

  • +3

Against my better judgment , bought one.
Many European and German reviews are saying its "good" for its pricepoint. Even cheaper now.

I'm so scared of stupid purchases, buh!

  • Bloody good price ….

  • Thanks adr8, this is extremely cheap for this IPS panel.

  • Must resist, I don't need a third monitor!

    • Are you sure? this is a good price. Fix your bedroom Monitor. 4k ok and somehow rotate for excitement.

      • and just as I was about to buy it, "This coupon can only be used 42 times". sigh :(

  • Hdr open vs closed… First time I hear about this 🤣

    • Also "somehow rotate"

  • +1

Never heard of this brand, can anyone comment on quality?

    • These are generic mass produced monitors that smaller brands slap their label on.

  • Yeah I don't think some rando cheap panel is gonna be putting out a DCI-P3 of 95% when even some of the good Dell panels are barely putting out >85%.

    • This panel is likely same one used in other brands
Edit : quick google search and looks like the only
Other monitor with a similar panel is the Pixio PX7

      Seems alright… 91% Adobe RGB.

      To enable 10bit:

After plugging in the DP cable, the monitor defaults to 2K resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. You need to adjust it. I encountered a small episode here. After outputting 165Hz, there is no way to adjust to 10bit. Later, consulting customer service was solved, and it was solved by using NVIDIA color settings. The color output format needs to be adjusted to YCbCr422 format, and then click Apply. After clicking Apply, adjust the output color depth option to 10bpc. After finishing, click Apply. You must also click Apply once every step of the operation. Although it is troublesome, it can be solved. Who wants to pursue such a high color standard, here is a reminder to my friends, before starting to see if your graphics card configuration can output 2K, 165Hz!

Would this be better than a Dell S2721DS for photo/ video?

    • +4

99% sure that this random brand won't be better than that Dell panel

  • Why buy this over 32" Dell 4k display for $370ish?

    • +6

      $150ish

      • And 100%+ more screen real estate.

        • You math good.

Could you pls link to the 32" Dell 4k display for $370ish?

              @netjock:

              ozb search is your friend

That's awkward, my time machine is in being serviced.

              • +2

@OzBragain: The Dell deal has been run plenty of times. No need for a time machine. It is only you want OzInstantSatisfaction that you end up having to try to get a deal for what is available.

                • @netjock:

It is only you want OzInstantSatisfaction that you end up having to try to get a deal for what is available.

Not quite sure what you're trying to say (your English is on par with the math). If you're new here, OzInstantSatisfaction is what it's all about champ!

And 100%+ more screen real estate

Speaking of math, how is a 32" display 100%+ more than 27"?

                  • @OzBragain: You got bad math. Pixels = screen real estate.

                    • @netjock: Hahaha…sensational communication skills you have there

                      • @OzBragain: I dumb it down to your level because I ain't getting paid for posting here.

                        • @netjock: I can certainly see the dumbness is strong is your comments, I'm just not convinced this is in your control or in any way for my benefit.

As much as I've enjoyed our little banter, we're heading way off topic and degrading to petty insults no one else is interested in. I'm done and will leave the last word to you if you feel you need it champ.

                          • -3

@OzBragain: I enjoy when people calls out their own petty insults like it is moral high ground. Bad at math can't work out where high ground is.

@netjock: Nice to see the CCP army is out.

Probably pick up a brand name with proper warranty from a local brick and mortor store for around $50 more when on sale.

    • +5

I've been keeping an eye on this size class of monitor for a while now. If you can find one brand new with the above stats for under $300 I will eat my hat.

    • +4

One does not simply walk into mortor (store)

  • AU Optronics?

  • +1

First it only show express shipping, then I enter my phone number and now got free shipping, Thanks OP

  • +1

I have used Skyworth products (TVs) in the past. Decent quality stuff.

Has the coupon expired? "This coupon can only be used 42 times."

  • Looks to be expired..

  • -1

Damn really no excuse nowadays for lacking a high end monitor that spec would have been considered 5 years ago

  • Was looking at this but ended up getting the xiaomi 34 inch late last year

  • A very famous brand in China, never used their stuff though, not sure about their quality etc. from JD.com it has 100% good rating, which is quite good.

  • Ordered and shipped… but FML why do peeps use Fastway/Aramex? Slow as snails delivery.

Once I have gotten it will test it with my PremierColor Dell monitor and see if I can see any difference. Don't have a colorimeter to test it though.

    • coz they're cheap.. Got a quote the other day.. $11 to ship with amarex… $18 for couriers please.. $34 tnt…. $20 aus post parcel post and $27 for aus post express…

    • Unlucky, i got auspost eparcel

  • Just recieved my monitor. First impressions are good. Colors pops on this monitor.

    • Just curious, what did they use to ship your monitor? I was given an Australian post parcel tracking ID but it has been stuck on pending for 4 days…

      • Mine was via auspost, just got delivered tonight. like at 8pm.

        • Damn nice, Auspost just received the monitor after 6 days :(, probably going to take another 2 days to deliver

    • does yours flicker/have static on higher refresh rates?

*i'm stupid, probs because of hdmi instead of dp

      • 120hz max on HDMI

See above on how to get 10bit mode working.

  • Mine arrived today and i have noticed some issues… Does anyone else have a broken LED light and a black smudge inside the monitor panel?
