I think the last time they had an ice cream deal, they were trying to offload short expiry or expired stock
Ice cream is still good in your freezer 3 months after it's Best before date

Slamma1102 deserves a +1 for not wasting food. I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. The kitchen freezer most people have defrosts a few times a day so food gets spoils easily, but if the keeping frozen in a chest freezer that doesn't fluctuate, you would be surprised how long food lasts.
In any case, last time I went to 7-11 I pointed out a mouldy sandwich, next day I came in and same sandwich was back in fridge, with extra mould…
Not from my experience. It's why I now buy 500mL containers. Expensive but at least I eat it all in the 3-4 months that it takes me.
And takes less freezer space.
Last time I bought they definately were not short dated in my experience. I still have a few tubs in the freezer

Actually haven't had the lamination one before. So will try this time. If there's bits of jam and coconut in the ice-cream it'll probably before good.
Does this offer allows only the choice of these two ice cream or does it work with caramel as well?
Of course, my local didn’t have cheesecake, but heaps of lamington . Oh well, worth a try for $2.

Its a common myth that 7/11 got its name as it was open from 7am to 11pm.
This is untrue.It got its name as 7 miles is same as 11 km, which was the distance the founder had to travel from home every day.

Just purchased from my local 7-11. Shelf price was $9 so picking it up for $2 makes for a happy OzBargainer.

Coles ice cream is like $1.23 per litre, so unless it tastes good it isnt a no brainer

Where in the store are these usually located? I went to the city and there were none in the ice cream freezer, just had the usual Cornetto's, Maxibons etc. There was a stand up freezer further back in the store, but had nothing but cups of ice and coffee melt cups.

I would ask the shop keeper. I went to a 7 eleven, I can't find it, same as you only saw the coffee cup in the freezer, then I asked the shop keeper, he said there is none.
In a seperate freezer away from the other ice creams.

Lamington review:
Definitely not to the Ben & Jerry’s standard. Think of it as a Streets-like chocolate ice cream with a generous amount of coconut flakes and a few small clumps of jam throughout the ice cream. Definitely not bad, but not the best I’ve had. Still quite enjoyable and moreish. Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5).
