  • Just in time for the extended lockdown in Sydney. Hair has been growing wildly without the visit to the barber.

this won't stop your hair growing

Yes but it it will surely give me a poorly done self cut.

  • Cheap, but if you want to continue DIY'ing it, buy something like the V5000 instead, just miles better in every way..

    • Yes, but also 5x the price…

      • Cost benefit analysis for each person mate, cheaper in the long run to buy one that'll last me many years than the 3 or 4 of these crap kits I previously had to buy..

Also available on eBay same price for those with gift cards or vouchers to use. I can confirm AFTERPAY10 code still works ($10 off) for those yet to use it, you just need to add another item from the same seller to take total over $20. AfterPay option is greyed out if you to have items from different sellers in the same check out.

Wahl you do with it ???

      I don't think you need it…
      … you already bald enough.

Unlike most Wahl products, this one is not made in the U.S., but in China. I'm not saying that it's not good because it's made in China (what is not?), but its quality is significantly lower than other Wahl products. I don't think it's even worth $19.

I can’t speak to this, however I recently bought this from JB HiFi - https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/philips-hair-clipper-seri…

I just shave my head, and I previously used a Remington Corded clipper and it’s was pretty ordinary. Had to be oiled, so would get slick, and dirty. The cordless is better because I can use it in the shower, I can wash it after use and it’s very easy to use being that it’s cordless.

I bought it on sale but.

Not trying to crap on this deal, just sharing my experiences.

    • Is it working well without needing to oil it? I have a Wahl that needs oil and it needs it at every cut. I really would like a maintenance free one

      • +1

        Yep. Works a treat.

Totally get where you’re coming from, oiling a clipper every other day to keep my hair short is just too much of a pain in the butt.

There are Wahl cordless clippers too, but I don’t know much about those. So if you wanted to stick with Wahl then there might be an option there. I went with the Philips because it got a lot of positive reviews.

        • Thanks for your answer. It's more the maintenance free aspect I am interested to. The cord does not bother me.
