I've been looking to upgrade my monitor and want to get the Xiaomi, 34-inch monitor, although the price is too high at the moment. I saw the price drop down to around $400 AUD around a month ago, if anyone knows any deals for the monitor that would be greatly appreciated.

Just wait patiently, this monitor goes on sale every now and then, although the close to $400 mark is probably unlikely unless you are willing to jump a couple of hoops like using discounted gift cards etc. Most reasonable is $450 to $500.

I think that sub $400 deal you are talking about was for grey import sold by Kogan stacked with Suncorp discounted GC…… From what I heard, this monitor rarely goes below $420, not even when it goes on sale in its domestic market - China. When you see deals below say $450, they usually go OOS within the first hour, which makes it impractical to maximise savings with discounted GC unless you already have them lying around. If you are not in hurry then I think you have a good chance of getting it at around the $450 mark but personally, I would rather pay a little more (may be $20-$30) to get it sooner.

I might as well wait till the price drops to $450 as i don't need it right now and I've spent a long time researching and trying to find discounts etc, I would rather wait and buy it when the price drops rather than wanitig a long time for no reason than buying it at its full price.
