Slightly dearer than last time this was posted here back in March.

Even at this price it's a lot to pay for a keychain torch and I'm the first to admit it's gimmicky product but damn it throws an impressive amount of light for a tiny torch at 53mm long.

There's a 10440 tube available for larger battery but it's not exactly a caving torch and I'm happy to sacrifice shorter battery life for size.

  • So you have one of thses? Is the range actually as good as the pic shows? or is it one of those BS images?

its very real, the battery life tho makes this almost a party trick or a short burst, i think its like 15 mins

    • Torch marketing photos are always BS. I tested mine the other night and was impressed at how well it let a fence 120m away.

Check here for an overly detailed review from the torch geeks. It includes real life beam shots.

  • A keychain light is gimmicky?

      gimmicky

      ADJECTIVE

If you describe something as gimmicky, you think it has features which are not necessary or useful, and whose only purpose is to attract attention or publicity.

I think this one is. Doesn't mean I don't love it.

Cool product but the novelty wears off after a few minutes.

  • @OP, Thank you for posting

Keychain torches have gone the way of the compact camera, MP3 player, gameboy, car gps, pocket calculator, alarm clock, … all replaced by one thing.

    • You forgot dictaphone. This thing ain't no ordinary keychain torch, barely practical with it's main use showing off that my schwartz is bigger than yours.

I was tossing between this style and flat ones and ended up getting Nitecore tip se. It's just smaller and seems from the specs more powerful. Some say it's a gimmick, but for someone who camps a lot like me, it's pretty awesome. I use all the time really and its 700lm beats many regular torches you can find at anaconda etc. I even got it cheaper than this deal.

    • Agree. Plus the easily accessible USB-C charging is super handy

  • Bought one previously. Yes it's impressive for its size, but definitely won't recommend for keychain edc.

The issue is the charging process requires a seperate small adaptor (provided), which you won't be carrying around (it's super easy to lose). If you use the high/turbo mode, it'll drain the battery within minutes, and even when off, it lights up the power botton (you could unscrew it a little), but overall it's just too fiddly for keychain use.

Great party trick tho, lighting something up a football field away with something that small.

  • paid $48 back in April. bought it just for the lolz really. it's fiddly to charge and the UI is too complex to use for an everyday torch. no regrets for an addition to the torch collection
