Looks like Dan Murphy's Malvern in Victoria have a stack of Modus Operandi Sonic Prayer IPA on clearance. Never seen it dip below $75 a case. Picked up a case in store earlier today so can confirm it's not a pricing error. Best before is late August or September 2021.

One of Australia's best IPAs, just look out for brewed on dates. You want to consume within 3 months.

The only reason to pass on this would be the age of the beer. The beer’s key characteristic is its hops and you generally want hoppy beers to be fresh. This beer is nearing its best before date (as indicated by OP) which means that the beer is about a year old. The hop profile will have changed and worst case scenario you will have a stale beer. It’s hard to tell how much though.
Modus are a great brewery though so still worth a look. If you can get a fresh can for comparison you could compare and decide whether it’s an issue for you.

Hmm, picked it up today. They've just thrown all their old stock of 4-packs in. Cans are very dingy, some are sticky and others slightly damaged. The dates vary from May-21 all the way to Nov-21. They can't sell me expired beer, right?
I'll put in a complaint, that's pretty dodgy. November is fine, August is iffy and May is a no-no.
Anyone in NSW found it at a cheap price? My local in Sydney has it at $74
Best before for me is December 2021.
