Find a Timemore C2 instead. This just turns beans to dust instead of ground coffee and takes forever to grind

C2 for about 78 delivered on aliexpress.

Mine just came but yet to use

    • Ooo coffee dust. I had some generic grinder which produced a huge amount of dust, such that it would clog up my filter paper to the point the brew would stall entirely!

I'm currently using a porlex tall which is a lot better, but still has a noticeable amount of dust that I can see settle on the top of the coffee bed.

I've tried to look for videos, but I can't really tell. Do you see much dust with the C2? Assuming you're doing a filter I just realised haha.

      • What's your brew method and setting used via the Porlex?

        • Chemex, and about 6-8 clicks open from completely closed. I used to have it around 12 clicks, but the particle size distribution seemed to get really wide.

  • I had a compact Rhino grinder and liked it, but the ceramic grinder came loose and would never fit again after about a year.

I got a Timemore C2 and often recommended here and it's like night and day. Way better for a little more money.

    I have a $10 grinder that i did this hack with - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zrrVcHl4QI

Works ok but I removed the handle and instead use a cordless power drill to crank the shaft. Twisting manually is for suckers who will copy my idea :P

  • $109 for a manual coffee grinder? pleeeeeeease…..and not recommended for Espresso blend?

  • It can do French Press grind well, but that still takes a very long time to grind. I would not go any finer.

The notches to hold the grind setting are also very poor quality. It moves by itself over time.

    Look elsewhere.

  • Anyone used the Bodum grinder..reviews seem good..108 on Amazon currently. Timemore C2 is 71 on Aliexpress
