Hi,
My daughter's laptop has karked it, and I'm getting a refund on it.
So I'm looking for a new 2-in-1 13/14" (she like to take notes with a stylus/pen).
Happy to spend up to about $1800 or so.
What's good value at the moment?
Thanks.

The ThinkPad X13 Yoga was what I was looking at.
Ordered one today. Bit of a wait through - approx 4 weeks or so.
MacBook Air with an iPad + Pencil could be an excellent choice close to that budget. They've already got great interaction with each other, but it'll be even better with the software updates in the next few months.
Can you confirm she needs windows? Does the school need any software other than Office?
I got a HP spectre 2-1 from their education store for ~$1000, great laptop, however the pen and tablet/writing wasn't the best / most responsive. Overall great price and laptop for my needs, 512gb ssd hd, 8gb ram, i5.. just when it came to writing it was lacking.
I later got a iPad Air and apple pencil gen 2 and I've never looked back. I also found with online leaning, that a lot of the stuff I wanted to write notes for, or do calculations, were things I was viewing on the laptop anyway, so having the iPad helped with that regard. Just food for thought kind of thing.
I bought my daughter a HP Pavilion X360 for $898 recently at JB. I think it retails at about $1300. Got a stylus on advice from JB guy.
Daughter loves it.
We had a Dell 2 in 1 prior to this and it was crap in comparison and weighed a lot more.
It was asked last week although with a lower budget. For 2-in-1 under $1800, I'll probably go with ThinkPad X13 Yoga. The pen goes into the body of the laptop to lower the chance for kids to loose one at school. My daughter has previous gen of ThinkPad L13 Yoga — cheaper than X13, not as well made, and 16:9 screen rather than 16:10.
