Should You Buy a Written off and Repaired Vehicle (2009 Nissan Patrol) by a Dealership?

So I see this car a Nissan patrol 09 200k for only $19,990 getting sold at a dealer ship only thing is that it's written off and repaired and inspected

How the hell was that vehicle not a stat write off? That’s why they want $20k for it, so they can pay the repairer what they put into it.

As a repaired write off on a 12yo vehicle with over 200k km on it, I’m betting maybe a few grand tops. A good condition one with lower km wouldn’t be worth $20k, even in COVID tax time.

Seems to be the going rate for 10-12yo patrols. Carsales has them listed from $18-33k. Of course, what they actually sell for is another story. The seller is just hoping a buyer won’t notice he write off status.

Ridiculous, but real 4wds are in high demand.

Hey if OP isn't interested I'll take it, unfortunately I'm currently deployed overseas but I'll send a courier to pick it up. Any chance you could pay the deposit for the courier and I'll just add it on to the sale price?

  • Yes, if you want to further post about your experience.

  • No. U have to think about insurance and whether that is possible in future.
