Coles Mastercard - Downgrading from Rewards to No Annual Fee Possible?

I have a quick question.

I have applied for the Coles Rewards Mastercard (usually $99 annual fee, but first year $0 annual fee).

Prior to the end of the first year, can I downgrade to their Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard, with no credit check and hassle?

Similar to how with AMEX you can downgrade from their more expensive annual fee cards, to their $0 AMEX Discovery card, no issues.

  Citibank is leaving Australia and is selling off their various divisions. There is no profit in Customer Service enquiries, so make sense this has ended up with OzBargain.

I'd imagine so, but then again, its Citi and they are f@r4ing useless!

There is no need to downgrade.

Coles have these offers a few times a year.

After 6 months of having the card, look for the next Coles MC promotion.

Cancel your card and immediately apply for another Coles MC.

Coles do not have a 12 month absence eligibility requirement.
