Have owned the v1 of this for a while and been impressed, recently lost the charger in a move and found this while looking for a replacement one. Seems like a good deal ($10 cheaper than the older model currently).

How close is the shave of this compared to a regular eg. Gillette Fusion?
Not recommended for a close shave.
I have this and I love it, it is actually surprisingly close and much more convenient than a blade shave. I have sensitive skin and never had any issues.
What's the difference between V1 and this? I have the older one and love it.

I've been using one of those Braun electric shavers then usually have to go over it with a razor because it's a bit patchy. Wonder if this would give a better shave than the Braun electric shavers?
This is a beard trimmer and not a shaver right?
Both, I use mine to trim down to a stubble with the 1 guard on, and then take of the guard for the parts I want clean. Not as close as doing it with a razor though.
